My Brute Energy/Invincibility build so far
taking Barrage so late? Its a nice fast attack great for building fury i took it straight off.
This is roughly my build, slotting is respec style so don't expect those numbers to be right and i'm only at 33 now so the last few power/slots aren't in place yet.
Barrage and Energy Punch are purly for making fury so i might change the acc in those to recharges or move them into Invincibility as ToHit Buffs, i haven't decided on that yet.

It's a matter of playstyle - i like to hit with the big punches straight away
I usually go with Brawl - Energy Punch for a couple of guys to build up, use Whirling Hands on groups and Bone Smasher and Total Focus on opponents that need to go down fast ... or just for the sheer theatrics of it.

Mines slightly different, I took barrage early for the rage, stun for PVP and only just got dull pain at 32 energy transfer sounded scary, I dont like giving up hit points (what can I say, I didnt like my tank on COH and deleted him at lvl 22 so not really played these powersets )
He seems to be doing quite well for himself and rarely dies

I got energy tranfer on my stalker its a lovely power,massive damage and the damage hit is not that bad,at lvl 27 it's 83 damage,quite manageable
Granted as a stalker if I can do it from "hidden" I don't take the damage....even better
ok then, made some minor changes since the last posting
Took Barrage a little earlier, and it now does a fine job of working up the anger-bar on auto-fire, plus after the latest adjustments to DP, it made sense to dump some Heals into that.
Other than that, it has just been tweaked to my last-man-standing play-style

Don't be scared of Energy Transfer's HP hit, it is minimal, as is its End cost and animation time, therefore making it an awesome power.

Too many DmgRes.
Remember you have scrapper level defences and resistance caps. So RES cap is only 70% (or was it 75% jsut woken up brain no work) AND Unstoppable stacks with other powers.
RPD + TI + Uny = 50% S/L, 11.8% Fire/Cold/En/Neg/Toxic
Unstop with NO DmgRes
RPD + TI + Uny + Unstop = 102.5% S/L, 64.3% Fire/Cold/En/Neg/Toxic
Unstop with 1 DmgRes
RPD + TI + Uny + Unstop = 114.1% S/L, 75.8% Fire/Cold/En/Neg/Toxic
Or if you have passives, Resist Elements/Energies you don't really need that DmgRes slot in Unstop. I have mine slotted with 3 recharges instead.

I thought it was Tanker level defences at Scrapper level bases.
Scrapper cap is 75%, btw. .
Just readign that on the US forums, the posts i found say they are still testing i'll have to see if i can find anything more.
I'm pretty much sure it is scrapper level powers with tanker level caps.

By tanker lvl caps, u mean 90% resist cap? As Ive heard? Was just here to learn the general concensus on slotting health.
One thing Ive noticed, is that invincible seems mediocre, and so too does resist energy/element; unyielding looks like its not worth slotting for res. With just 3 res in temp inv and unstoppable ur at damage res cap of 90%. All this means is that u can start picking up more attacks earlier.
With fitness, hasten, aid self, and tp I only have energy punch, barrage, and brawl as my attack chain at lv 26 until next lvl when I get total focus, bone smasher, build up. Thats 1 more attack than my elec brutes in sirens call.
How does 3 slotting health effect dull pain; regen or max health points or health 80% of health if I read it correctly earlier?
ive only got a low lvl brute but im wroking on him, i thought about getting TF (total focus) at 18, its pretty high dmg and is great for PvE and PvP alike, what do you people thing,ey?
IMO Bonesmasher and Total Focus should BOTH be picked up the level they are unlocked. Bonesmasher is one of your bread'n'butter attacks, and Total Focus is your personal 'YouDieNow' button. (untill you get Energy Transfer :P)

Duoing with a EM stalker we both hit TF and things just fall over
A quick question ppl.. How good is nrg/invul brutes on a scale from 1-10 (in your oppinion)?? And howcome that??
On a scale of 1-10? Comparing it to the other Brute combos i've played 8/10.
Some fast attacks for building Fury and 2 very hard hitting attacks make EM a good choice. As well as the Energy part of the damage which isn't resisted as much. I didn't like Dark Melee i felt the attacks were too slow to build fury. Invuln shines in a decent sized crowd with Invincibility running your DEF goes up and i found Dull Pain recharges just often enough to see you through. Stone I jsut don't like, anything that slows me down from chasing the next kill can't be good
Its biggest drawback IMO is endurance, i seem to go through that little blue bar so fast. Though having a pet */kin corrupter along would help with that
Got my Brute up to level 26 now, and he's doing pretty good with my Energy/Invincibility build, so I thought I would share Hands out decent damage, can take a beating and not go down, and those pesky holds are yet to get me!
I might get rid of CJ once I get around to doing a respec TF, but then again, things might change after 41
