General response has historically been no due to clipping issues ( Which you can see on the raptor pack and such ).

They know it's wanted (see Jay's Costume Request thread) - currently the only "jetpacks" are the few temp powers out there and the one you can pick up for $4.99 for 30 days.
Last I heard they were working on figuring out how to create a new anchor point for back piece items. No word on any progress yet. Just be patient. When they figure it out we will get them.
I figured there was a reason for the lack of the option. But with the wings and trench coats one would think it were possible. Ah well, at least this is an attempt to bump it up a bit more. Perhaps even a DEV will read this and push that option up a bit in the priority list.

Yep the "jetpack as costume item" has easily been one of the most frequently suggested costume items for years. I'm sure it's in the top ten at the very least. I have a character I created almost 5 years ago that was supposed to have a jetpack costume item as her "explanation" for Flight who's still waiting for it...
Maybe after they get I16 done a jetpack costume item will be the next miracle our Devs will perform.

I have searched and wasn't able to find out if this question had been asked as yet. Can we have a Jetpack costume option please? I would even like one if I have to craft it. There could be a lot of other backpack type options that could spin off this idea.
Thoughts, suggestions, and if I did miss this question please reply to me a link with the answer or C&P it in here.
