And he said the set was being looked at, but the time table for changes was on the longer side. The AoE damage he didn't mind, but it was all of the secondary effects that Spines gets. When it was mentioned on the scrapper forum it came across as a non-issue for scrappers since most people didn't really play it for the secondary effects anyway. Point is, Spines will be changed. Eventually.

I have many thoughts in my head about seeing a Brute wielding a claymore, a massive axe, a polearm, or a maul(two-handed warhammer). I do realize that indeed there would be a massive amount of additional powersets though., but by the gods, I would love to see something along these lines. Seeing a Brute wielding a Legacy War Axe, or Legacy War Mace is fine and dandy, but I'd rather something where you use two hands for that oversized weapon, rather than just one hand. Of course, you couldn't use shield proficiency with this powerset, just like if you picked the dual-blades powerset.

I have a feeling when we see the new animations for Martial Arts, most people will jump on the MA 4 Brutes Bandwagon. BaBs said most of the alternate animations for Super Strength are entirely new, so I'm assuming most of the new punch animations for MA will be new also. (possibly a few of the same new animations Super Strength is getting?)

Anyways, Dual Blades is really the only good example of BaBs work since most animation were done before him and reused way to often. Considering how great the DB animations are....I'm betting BaBs will give us some pretty good looking attacks for MA ans SS. Point is I'm looking into the future and I want MA4Brutes now!

Yes, BaB did a excellent job on DBs animations. I wonder what the Super Strength and MA new animations will look like.

I think I heard him say that FS's animation will be a fist smash or something...

I think reaching waaay back like KOBlow without the little hand twirl part, then coming over the top and sinking your fist into the earth would be pretty damn cool.....

I was thinking the fist slam that Statesman uses. That would be pretty awesome.

Well if he decides to remove the -rech I'd be fine with that. The values are so small they're not noticeable anyway. The last thing I'd want to lose is the toxic DoT. If the immobs and slows were removed I'd probably hardly notice. It would be nice if Impale kept the immob though. That makes it a great power for dealing with runners.

I didn't even know there were immobilization effects in the spines powers outside of impale until castle commented on the issue. I think those 1/3rd magnitude immobilizes, or whatever they are, are laughable anyway.

I think a better KO Blow would be like one in a Boxer or Street Fighters skill set, i.e. the Overhand Right or Left, that way it could be alternated as well. The overhand right knocked out Michael Bisping at UFC 100, if you want to see it in action. That is the definition of KO blow...lol
