Wow, even purple Confuse and Sleep sets shot up...

Once I get my first 50, I think I might give a go at "farming" purples. They're the most valuable item in the game that you can actually still GET. 
I bought up a ton of 'crappy' purples before AE hit and made a whole lot of inf selling them, but right now I'm kicking myself for not sitting on them longer.

Indeed. the damage sets were never that low for a 5 piece anyways.
Isn't the drop rate on confuse/sleep purples even LOWER than a damage purple due to drop weighting? Or are purples unaffected by that?

I dunno
I remember people thought I was crazy spending 50-60 mill on my melee,range, and PBAOE sets. Have to admit I thought I was too. Now, just repec'd them out of one of my unused toons and one IO sold for what I paid for a whole set.

Are drops weighted? I thought it was just (merit and ticket) rolls that were weighted.

I have a Fire/Nrg Blaster that cost me just over 1 billion when I built it and now the build has just about tripled
Bonesmasher = 5 Hecatomb
FireBall = 5 Ragnorak(sp?)
Blaze = 5 Apoc
Fire Blast = 1 Apoc
Total Focus = 1 Hecatomb
Those 3 sets of purples alone more than double what it cost me to make the build back then. If I start throwing in some Uniques and LoTGs it gets more and more expensive.
Funny thing is I refuse to respec any purple/Miracle or Numina Unique/purple IO from any of my builds. I just keep paying the new prices and keep racking up on some Uber builds
I noticed a few days after I ran a Dr K TF that I'd picked up a Heca Dam in the process. I looked on the market and saw I could easily get 200M for it. It's not like I need the monies, but damn, that's hard to pass up. I'm also sitting on a set of 5 Ragnarok's for a newly minted 50 and can prolly get close a full billion for the lot, maybe more during or right after 2X wknd, so I'm really, really tempted to just sell them and slot w/a "cheap" Posi sets, which I got lying around in droves. Is there no end to my own greed?!
I am happy I slotted up a ton of "cheap" purps a few months back, and bought a few extras just in case, cuz they were cheap. I got a few sets of Unbreakables just to throw on any toon w/an epic hold, not just my controllers. I'm not sure if even my bankroll could stand up to fully purp'ing out all my up & coming 50s w/o getting all ebil again. Good thing I go for high def builds and not high rech.

I love it. Just respecced my dom out of her old purple sleep set that I'd been using for the recharge bonus, only to find that it was now worth about ten times what I originally paid for it.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
So much for getting one of each for my Plant/thorns. I'll just stick with the 6.25 +rech sets of sleep and confuse
