Idea that would change to very ideas of fees

You can't pay for servers on promises.
You can't pay a company's various bills on promises.
You can't pay employees on promises.
Those employees can't buy food for their families on promises. Or pay their rent/house payments/insurance/etc. on promises.
COX is a luxury item - and a cheap one at that. If you can't fit it into your budget, it doesn't hurt anything not to have it for a month, or three, or what have you. And you can, of course, pay ahead if you do have the money (and do so at a discount.)

Happy B'Day, Bill !
lol XD Steve I dont think that remark was needed.
wow. incase you didn't know, the birthday cake in front of bill's name means it's his b-day. Happy B-Day Bill.
second. this has ben discussed to death with the outcome always being the same, absolutely not a good idea. ever. use the search function, it is your friend and will not bite.
...I'm sorry, I must be having a brain-dead day today, but what IS the actual idea?!
Save Ms. Liberty (#5349) Augmenting Peacebringers The Umbra Illuminati
to have a basically free game and not pay sub fees. not my idea though. i am totaly against it as it would mean no more CoX.
[sarcasm] Yes, by all means make it cheaper and easier for RMT spammers to keep their accounts open while draining the pockets of poor unsuspecting newbies. [/sarcasm]
The move of a game to "free play" has always lead to the arrival of hacks and cheats and RMT farmers by the droves. We don't need it to get worse than it already is.
Thanks but no thanks.

One thing to keep in mind Werewolf.
Even the "free" online games still need money to operate. They most commonly make money from box sales and/or advertising. The website based games usually are completely advertising and donation based.
As far as NCSoft goes I wouldn't be surprised if they funnel some of the CoX cash and other sub based games into their "free" games.
~ Infinity Heroes ~
Dark Voltage - 50 NRG/NRG/EM Blaster
Shure Shot - 50 Arch/NRG/MM Blaster
Silent Shadow Blade - 50 Katana/SR/BM Scrapper
Uphir - 50 Fire/Fire/Fire Blaster
The "free to play" games also tend to make money from microtransactions. Not just for fluff type stuff either, but for gameplay necessities.
Dungeon Runners, when it still existed, kept all the really good loot reserved for those people who were willing to shell out cash for it, for example.
