How many potential teams are we looking at? Sooner I know the sooner I can get to work on accolading/IOing some characters for this (they've got the levels but not the loots).

Also, now that Freedom has a new PvPEC rep (is this true?) does this mean we will be seeing this 5v5 start up? I've gotten lazy and need a push to get my Rad/Therm and Mind/Emp IOd and accoladed.

Oh, but I did get the Rad/Therm IO'd and mostly accoladed to the tune of 1.1 billion inf. I'm cringing when I think about how much the Emp's gonna cost.

Last nights Monday KB was good times. Anyone still up for the league idea? It would seem that teams of 4-5 players would be easy enough to get organized.

Thoughts on doing it draft pick style? Would help lvl the playing field if we get a bunch of new players.

Mixed bag, I think. Ideally I'd want to be playing with a team I knew well and I could rely on to play their respective roles well in a team environment, but at the same time I understand how someone who doesn't have that might get frustrated when they try and form a random team and get facerolled.

The issue with doing a league style event with preset teams is that you get stacked teams. Look at the last FPvPL. Team Pokemasters was BEYOND stacked. The only team that even scored a kill against us was the Pwny Xpress team, and that was against our B-team (we still won 14-1 anyway).
With a draft pick you get a good mix of experienced players and not-so-experienced ones. Keep in mind that the last FPvPL was primarily composed of test server PvP teams, so they weren't too discouraged by losing to more stacked teams. The population of a new FPvPL might not be so resilient.
If KBs keep up at the rate they are going on freedom, we may soon be able to start running more casual matches with preset teams as we establish a player base. From there we can get started on a league. I think it's still a tad too early to attempt one yet. We do need organizers to get the more casual matches going and help establish a player base, though. Some of you forum jocks should get on that :P
