weird dom issue... or maybe an ae issue...

I wanted to see how much difference the animation time change to confuse made. So I put a level 52 Positron in an AE mission, used the MK III Power Analyzer, and started stacking confuse. The mag hovered in the high 60s, low 70s. Anyhow what boggled me is that the instant I attacked, even with him clearly confused, he would attack back (and kill me very quickly). Is this a new thing? Is it AE related? Any thoughts?

IIRC they gave Confuse the shorter animation time of Deceive. It's quite a bit quicker now .

Positron may be confused about a lot of things in this game, but he knows a villain when he sees one

PToDs?

Yes, but like I said he had a confuse stacked on him with mag in the high 60s, low 70s. That overcomes the 50 from the ptod plus the base.

I ran into a similar problem like this while venturing through the LRSF solo. I took your advice and used the MK III Power Analyzer to see how much mag I can put out. The mag was in the high 50s, low 60s which clearly can confuse through the PToD, but they weren't actually confused.

This didn't always happen, but it might be related to the problem you're having.

I might give this a try sometime. So whats needed to get this insane level of confuse stackage? How would I slot confuse for this?

Probably the fact that confuse duration is insane at base.

Maybe they were using another power that gives them confuse protection?? Some kind of leadership? Just a guess

Hey Kahlan

After you got the mag stacked up that high, did he attack you when you entered perception radius, or only when you attacked? Did the purple confuse bubbles disappear at that point?

P.S. I love the new animation! It's so much better!

In i12 PvP confuse worked like this...if you were confused you could attack the person who confused you if they were the only thing you could target.

Perhaps when they redid all the mez changes they left confuse alone in regards to NPCs and it could possibly still work this way.

I had this issue except now with using a hold(Dominate). This is in the first mission of the LRSF. I clearly have Agent Crimson held through the PToD, but he was still able to attack.

Here is a screenshot of Crimson "dodging" an attack when he is clearly held. A second after he attacked me. That's how he got all the way to the side.

He didn't dodge...you missed. A miss means you missed your tohit roll.

Castle stated once way back when that if you see miss it's just that...a miss.
