Kora Fruit
The shard's problem is there's absolutely zero content in all 4 of the zones combined, outside of some of the most hated Task Forces in the game. A complete revamp of the shard is necessary, IMO

Only one of those task forces goes for "most hated" (Quarterfield.) The others aren't so bad. And there's a little bit of content in there, actually.
That said, yes, it needs more.
Hey, my little brother loves the Shard. he used to hardly leave the place.
And I have never done any of the Shard TFs. But I would like to see the Kora Fruit go back to being a large inspiration. It may, as the OP said, bring some life back into a dead zone.

I must be strange because I really like the last map in the sara moore tf ... can't see but its something different. I'm not saying the shard doesn't need a rework (Co-Op maybe), but a quick change would be nice ...
But hey who knows the devs may add some things, pull an arc out of MA and make it a story in the shard

The last time I did Faatim the Kind's TF, it took me 7-8 hours. No matter how good the TF may have been (read: not THAT good), it's not worth that kind of time investment, specifically since so many missions were unnecessary.
Far as I'm concerned, they should downgrade all the Shard TFs aside from Faaitm's and perhaps the one that has Ruladak into regular story arcs and add a few extra story arcs to the zone as well. Maybe extend the Mole Points as General Hammond said they were planning to five years ago. It's getting to the point where game time is moving slower than real time, if they can't build a mole point in five years.

I agree with the OP that it's probably not a big deal now to hand out large inspirations through the kora fruit missions. Maybe put a couple eyeballs beside the fruits such that people can't go stealth and pick the delicious fruits.

Thee things that could be done to fix the Shadow Shard:
-Add some non-TF content to it besides repeatable missions.
-Compress the whole area. Move all the islands closer together.
-Add some nasties there to hunt. Create some EB class extra dimensional monsters that are semi-rare that spawn outdoors. Seriously, almost anything goes being a freaky dimension of wierd crap and all.

Or make the Shard have constant rikti raids, zombie apocalypses, and all the GMs show up randomly. Make the shard a place that is out of touch with time and reality, where anything can happen at any time.
I would love to hang in such a chaotic place.
P.S. I would pay real money to see and battle a full sized Lusca floating between shard islands.

Quite some time ago Kora fruit used to give top tier inspirations, for what seemed like obvious reasons at the time that was downgraded to middle tier. I didn't mind much at the time even though the few Shard players I knew ventured back into the city, as the greater risk of the shard was no longer worth it.
I think things have changed. Mostly the introduction of AE has introduced low risk, high gain missions ... making it virtually impossible to pull some players from AE into the shard of all places, compounded with AE missions able to give up to 15 large inspirations (Ticket use) I think a decent compromise would be to once again allow Kora fruit to give large inspirations most the missions give between 4-15 inspirations and are much more difficult than many AE missions.
It is seeming to me that AE won't get nerfed but it would be nice to see the empty zone get a little bit of a buff to make it just a bit more competitive.
