Here is mine currently... I guess the witches of Croatoa were feeling especially thankfull that day
It changes periodically and randomly chooses from my CoH screencaps, also I made a shortcut that hides the icons until I need to click something then they appear again.

Took an external pic of it cuz otherwise I would have to shrink the image waaay down from 2560x1600 on my 30' widescreen.

The other 4 monitors in my gaming room/pc workshop vary from time to time also but currently 3 of them have this...

Why do you need a second graphics card? I'm only using one.

could be mistaken, though I believe it would take stress off the main one...though my current one has random fits when it wants to make my screen black out >.> yay display driver problems!

If you put in a second card, you end up with an SLI setup, which could make things worse. While I do use an 8800GT at home, my work computer is a Dell Latitude e5400 and that video card is pretty weak. (I think it's actually an onboard video card) I can still dual monitor at work though.
Having two videocards doesn't necessarily mean you have an SLI setup. They would have to both be Nvidia cards both be of the same series and would need to be bridged and configured to work in SLI.
As for adding 2nd card being worse that depends on several variables but generally speaking you will get the best bang for your buck by going with the fastest single card you can afford at the time. Where multiple cards in SLI or Crossfire (if you use ATi instead of Nvidia) come in handy is gaming at ultra high resolutions like 2560x1600... see pic of my gaming rig above.

Nice and simple I love a clean desktop...I wanted a cool pic of a Phoenix and this one that I found. This is shrunk from 1680x1050

1680 x 1050? What size screen is that? 26"?

22' wide screen 18.5"X 11.5" viewable area thats 212.75 sq inches of LCD awesomesauce... I know it was on sale and sweet looking. Beat the carp out of the one that was stolen a couple years ago.

I can never resist these desktop threads

Here's mine (Vista x64):

Turned off the secondary monitor for the resolutions aren't the same.

Here is a little something found in one of the darkest corners of the web for those who would like to customize their desktops more. I just couldn't stand the XP silver/blue look nor the lack of aforementioned customization options on Vista...

I dunno from that shot and the perspective it doesn't look that much bigger than mine.

I really want to get another monitor but that would require me getting a bigger desk and leasing more space from the domestic partner...If she had her way the whole thing would be in the closet..

Here's my desktop. Rendered in 1/4 scale from a 24" monitor and a 20" secondary.
