To aid your search, you might check out "From the Nadir to the Apex", an MA arc that explores what happened to Apex after his last appearance in the comics.
It's not my arc, so I can't tell you what the ID number is, but you should be able to find it pretty easily.
I found it, and found their Apex to be wanting. It's a work in progress though so I didn't rate it, but rather just sent some drunken Apex loving adivce. 
P.S. I love that you can filter out works in progress. I want to play arcs that are ready for prime time, you know?

I am currently polishing the finishing touches on a translation of the the first story arc "Undead in the Big City" intended for characters 1-20. I should finish with it this weekend and post in a new thread when it's ready.
He started as MA/SR, then when his leveling duo partner quit he rerolled as BS/SR.
Also, as for that arc, he's good but his gloves, boots and shoulderpads were off (banded, flared, black IMO)

Well, after all these years I would think he's level 50 by now. 
Not a bad idea though! And by the end of Issue 12, he has War Witch's sword (disenchanted and turned to iron). That's why he has a sword at the end methinks. I could just make him MA in one mission, and BS the next lol.

That's awesome, he rerolled lol. I just got done spending about an hour perfecting my own version of the Issue 12 Apex in the costume creator, and I got him about as spot on as possible.
Man, I need to write a MArc.

What? Like no one goes through costume changes? How many different iterations has Iron Man's armor gone through? How often did the Wasp come up with a new look?
Maybe Apex decided to go for the darker look after War Witch died.
On the other hand, it is kind of fun to see exactly how close you can get to an established look.
If the characterization is off, then we have an issue.

I found it to be wanting, too. Turning Apex's sister and Kayla into a lesbian couple seemed way too gratuitous. I was like What the Frak?
I was just reading some of the really cool Blue King CoH comics and admiring the coolness of Apex (he and Foreshadow are my two bromances
) and wonder if he's available in MA?
If not, he looks pretty easy to put together using the costume creator, but an official version would be great.
