Ticket Bug?

I've tried searching to see if this has been posted yet, and I'm sure it must have been. I can't find anything on it tho.

When I'm using my tickets to buy gold rolls, I use the level slider to select level 30 recipes, and then click on the button to purchase level 30-34 gold rolls, I get level 40-45. This is on my level 45 MM.

On my level 50 brute, I get level 50 recipes even though I specified level 30 recipes with the slider, and clicked on the level 30-34 button.

Is this a known bug, and if so, anyone know if the Dev's have mentioned anything regarding it?

Working as intended, unfortunately. The level slider affects only what recipes are available to be chosen; once chosen the recipes awarded will be at your level, or their max level, whichever is less. Drives me berserk but there you have it.

Yeah, sucks since Merits lets you pick the level with the slider. =/

Only if you buy specific recipe. When you do random rolls, it works the same way as tickets rolls (or vice versa ).

Thanks for the quick reply.
If this is working as intended, then what is the purpose of level slider?

Seems to me that if you are going to get stuff at your level regardless of the level slider, then the slider is not really showing stuff that is actually available. Because stuff below your level is not available. Seems that all they need is a button for gold rolls, no level slider.

Buying SOs, for example.

Ah, I see.
The slider is actually for the enhancements, not for the Recipes. It is a little misleading because when you change the slider it changes the stuff available in recipe rolls. Would have been nice if they had the slider only effect the enhancements and not do anything for the recipes.
Ah well.

Not completely. As said above it also determines what recipes are available in a given roll. Say you are lv50, and set your slider to 36-40, and you roll two times, getting a Miracle, and a Crushing Impact. The miracle will be lv 40 (since that is the max level of that set), the Crushing Impact will be lv 50 (since that sets goes to 50 and that is your level). If you would have put the slider to 46-50, you'd never have a shot at the Miracle, since that sets only goes to 40.

So I guess the next question is:
Does the slider actually give you a shot at lower level stuff. So far, in about 8 tries with my level 47-50 brute and 8 tries with my level 45 MM, I've only received recipes withing 5 levels of my characters. Nothing in the 30-34 range.

Actually... I think you're right, in this case the level slider doesn't do anything. All that matters is the level range you click on to get the recipe roll - if you grab the 26-30 random roll, for example, you'll get a shot at sets that cap at 30, regardless of what the slider is set to.

The merit vendor UI wouldn't even show you those bands as available to be chosen unless you manipulated the slider, but IIRC the ticket vendor shows you everything you can roll.

So, yeah, for random rolls I think the slider is useless.

I can verify that it works this way. When my level 50 does the 30-34 bronze recipe roll I have received a level 50 Crushing Impact and a level 30 Steadfast Protection. The slider is only used to control what items are displayed, not the level of the selected item.

Which makes it kind of confusing if you're looking for common recipes in the AE ticket reward window. If you happen to be something like level 27, the slider defaults to that, and there is no entry for Recipes in the left panel. You have to move the slider to 30, at which point the the recipe entry appears and you can click on it to make the common recipes appear in the right panel.

I found another ticket bug.
Maybe others have seen it too.

Just yesterday, I was running a task force, the new one that Khan gives, and I didn't get a single ticket drop. Killed tons of mobs and no one on the team got one. We did, however, keep getting notifications that we were getting something called "Salvage". WTF, I don't want that garbage, I want the tickets that I'm entitled to!
Dev's, plz fix this or I'll cancel my sub.
