Best Solo Purple IO Farmer Either Side?

Probably a Fire/Kin Controller blueside and a SS/Fire Brute redside. You want to mow down massive quantities of minions to get purples, so you need lots of AoE.
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)

But where do you get massive quantities of minions SOLO redside? You have to go with missions, which means you might as well have a single target build (with admittedly some exceptions if you: (a) Don't mind herding up guys in a mission; or (b) Don't mind being a whiny [censored] and asking for people to fill.)

I've gotten some very good purp drops running the Roman wall, as well as some good rare salvage and IOs.

Personally, I like my WS for my farming Blue Side. Capped Resists, nearly Capped Damage (so close in Nova Form), and two fast recharging AoEs as well as an "Empty to Full" self heal I can use twice in a fight.
I'd Say Fire/Kin/Fire controller or a Fire/Psi Dom
Lvl 50's
Pinnacle:
Girly Torch Fire/Bubbles Controller
Dave Goringer Fire/Kinetics Controller
Joe Goringer Willpower/Energy Melee Tanker
Freedom:
Big Spine Baby Spines/Regenration Stalker
Fire/Psi is good now, but after the Dom changes I doubt it will be on top. Psi Shockwave is becoming essentially a Foot Stomp clone, so why not have a Brute's toughness and just use Foot Stomp? Rage + Foot Stomp + Shield or Fire secondary + tons of recharge = serious AoE goodness. Er, badness, since it's a villain. 
As for where to find large swarms, the wall in Cimerora is always nice if you aren't padding missions. Or just run missions on the second difficulty level for more mobs and herd 2-3 spawns up at a time. If you're really feeling ambitious and have a solid build you can even get some people to fill in a team long enough to start a SF and then solo the spawns (you'll need another character to log out still on the team though).

^^ This. Only reason to go Fire mastery on a farming Fire/Kin is if you're doing demons and I don't know anyone who does that anymore.

I'd always assumed Fire Mastery since Fireball is the highest damage AoE in the ancillary pools, but looking at Stone Mastery the extra survivability does look to be worth the weaker AoE (especially since Fissure also stuns). Especially if you have enough recharge for perma-Earth's Embrace...

If you combine CJ, Weave, and Rock Armor(which I did) that is 32.8% defense to S/L. Great for Battle Maiden.
Seismic Smash does great damage, and it's a mag 4 hold. Between that, Fissure, and Flashfire, bosses aren't a problem at all.
My fire / fire perma-dom's good for Cim -- the Romans guarding the walls line up quite nicely for acid reflux spew.
nah, best powerset for farming is Pitchfork Melee / corn defense brute with the tractor ancillary.
also, redside, I've seen a few people with perma dom do it with Earth/something.

Best farmer? Hah! I went whale melee/Sock Defense on my stalker with the waffle ancillary.
Whalers Strike+Sock Smack+Syrup Explosion=dead mob.
What would be the best solo purple IO farmer in your opinion, either side?
