Could really need some help on sorting a build for my blaster, any comments, or help in any sort is highly appriciated.
so far i've come up with this, slots might be a bit off, as I haven't gotten to slotting yet, but was hoping you could help me on that.

You don't need assault or tactics. Grab the stealth pool instead. At least you can put two more LoTG 7.5s with Stealth and Invisibility.

I disagree . You want tactics for sure .. and assault also but you can take manvrs for the kb prot and lotg. Definately want tactics. Perception is very important.

This is what I have. With this type of blaster, you plan on fighting from range most of the fight, until they drop to a significant number, then close in for the kill. I took Phase Shift because you really can't up Melee defense significantly unless you want to sacrifice dmg. Perception is only important for stalkers. If you fight stalkers, then maybe. But gearing up for ONLY that will leave your end vulnerable, since you want the leadership pool.

I planned this build for survival, high HP, and Ranged Defense.

It all depends on your playstyle, I suppose. I like having both.

You can Hibernoob, and when you do, you're leaving yourself open to some Melee character, at least with both....this is just for MY playstyle.....you hit hibernoob, then queue Phase Shift, so that when you're surrounded while hibernoobing, you can easily get away.

Well unless you got a pocket emp youll be losing target all the time with no perc... Also you might consider dropping bone smasher and grabing screech Its a nice stun and a nice debuff. I highly suggest pciking up acro too. I jsut dont get it with some ppl not taking acro. It give youe great hold resist and a easy 10 pts fo KB protection. As for double phase... to each their own.. might as well get tactice and get the temp phase.

oh.. and power boost...

power boost for what reason? doesnt effect anything but hoarfrost? doesnt make your disorient hit better, seems wasted point to me- and I did pick up acrobatics, if you look over my build again

You don't need acro if you can achieve 18-20 points of KB protect with out it. in which the guy's build does have. Same with my sonic/EM, it has 20 points KB protect without acro and that means 1 less end draining toggle.

I don't agree with all his slotting and using some randon IO in place of hami's, but all and all I'ts a nice build.

as far as having both phase and noob, it's great to have both. many tactics can be formed with using both as well, such as the noob to phase, the phase to chase. the noob to heal leading to build ups and phase to chase. I like them both.

You will want a lot more than 20 points of KB protection in I15. Energy Doms are gonna become very popular and I have a feeling you'll be seeing a lot more Power Push + AS spikes.

I couldn't imagine skipping the hold res in acro. Yes you can do some slotting stuff and get alot of kb protection, but once you face a toon with pbed holds you realize how nice acro is really fast.



Also on the power boost thing, i post about it in that other thread, I am flat out not a fan of it in this day and age. Very little bang for the buck.

Yeah, PB is kinda a waste on a non-control AT (as a Sonic/EM the only thing it'll really help is the stun duration in Total Focus and Screech). Give it to a Controller or Dominator, though, and you're looking at 10-12 second holds.

Yea pb is a waste unless u have aid-self and it doesnt affect hoarfrost, I know mids says it does but in game it doesn't. Also I thought u could no longer hibernate and then ps because of the no phase rule.

If you queue up Phase while in Hibernate, as long as you haven't passed that 30 second phase timer, when you exit Hibernate, Phase will turn on (but will shut off once that 30 seconds is up). It's nice to get out of the huddle of people that'll show up once they see you're in Hibernate.

Gettin 20 points of kb protection is absolutely worthless. Either you should get about 8-10 to negate ko blow or get about 47. If you only plan on zone pvp, with doms around , you should try to reach into 40s at least

As I'm on my phone right now I will post mine later for ya. Its a solid build, with some tweaks that's needed for i15 on kb protection. But it kills stalkers and rocks zones and also is a good dual build.

Mine doesn't have pahse just hiber and horfrost. I would love to put phase in it just to kill others on the brink of death when they hit phase. That's it. A properly played son/em doesn't really need phase for anything else imho.

I will post mine when I get back home tonight.
