Random Question about the 1st Level 50?

There was a video from HeroCon, I believe, when a developer asked how many 50's people had, and some guy said 45. A lot of them had over 30.
A month or so ago, there was a thread in the egenral discussion section, where some guy claimed to have 96 lvl 50's. I think the better question would be: Who had the most lvl 50's that haven't been PLed all the way there =P
I don't see anyone having almost 100 legitimate lvl 50's, unless they have a severe gameing addiction.
There used to be a poster, who was basically an invalid and housebound and who enjoyed PLing new alts to pass the time
He was well over 100, and IIRc over 200 when I last saw one of his posts.
Not my cup of tea, but Im glad he could find some entertainment amongst our little game.
he kept a count in his .sig and every few days it seemed to increment.

wow never expected someone to have that many lvl 50s, must be like a couple of my soldiers who play WOW all hours of the day, someday I will get my second to 50 : )

I think it's pretty likely that, sans PL, few people will have a gigantic number of 50s. However, the game has been going for a while - with some folks playing every day - so you never know.
In the Repeat Offenders altitis runs rampant, as it does throughout the game. In that group I believe I'm considered a bit odd for devotedly sticking with one alt after another until they reach 50.
After 4 years in the game I have 21, not one of them PL'd, playing only evening/nights. However it took at least a year, IIRC, before I made my first. Everyone plays differently, so as long as you're having fun the total count is pretty irrelevant.
68 Level 50s, all made the old-fashioned way.
Original: Quasar Lad - Fire/Kin troller. Latest: Asp Kicker - Grav/Poison troller.
Completed the "Full Alty Challenge" - level 50 in every archetype, and "Alty's Ultimate Power Challenge" - level 50 in every available powerset in the game.

IIRC the first level 40 (max level when CoH first released) was a AR/Dev blaster and did it in about a week. He took advantage of a couple "features" in the early game:
1) No max AoE targets
2) Caltops could reduce mob speed to 0
3) Not all mobs had ranged attacks
4) Smoke Grenade's -toHit was 100%, not 10%
Soo... round up a bunch of mobs w/o ranged attacks, debuff the to-hit so they can't touch you, lure them into a immobilizing caltop trap, let loose with Full-Auto and Flamethrower, profit!

I never would have guessed a AR/dev blaster would have ben the first, but I do remember the days Tanks tanking a whole map for a blaster to Nuke......
didnt know the game started with a level 40 level cap, when did it actually change to 50? had to be very early, of course I was never high enough level to know what the cap was when I started....

I have 3 level 50's a level 40 and 10+ level 25 and below. How the heck do people have so many level 50's prior to AE?
Admitted I am a bit of a content [censored] and like to do all my contacts for badges and souvenir arcs though

heh... Shadowguardinal just made 41st last night and is my highest level. I still haven't leveled because I haven't decided if I want my final primary or go for the Epic pool

I've been here for a long time. Not a single level 50. But I'm getting close.
I don't get to play much. And when I do it's solo. I've only gotten about 1.5 levels out of AE.

Was Smoke's tohit 10%?
Regardless, it also did stack; this was also pre-purple patch.

Also this was before ED, so optimum slotting was 1xACC, 5xDAM. But AR/DEV has Targeting Drone, so they could slot 6xDAM.

Completely random thought, but I wonder who was the first ever level 50 and if they still play(not people that are Devs)
Also I was wondering who has the most level 50s under one account, or even under multiple accounts. I know a couple people who have a level 50 of each AT hero and villain, but I am sure there are people who have even more than that..
No real point to my question I was just thinking about the fact that I have only 1 level 50 but just got like my 30th toon to level 20(I mean they are all currently level 20 right now, just waiting to decide who I really wanna go with for the next grind)
anyways just wanted to see what people say about who has the most level 50s etc...
