Cheers to those I teamed with last night, was fun. For those who haven't already done so, join the Rookery. global channel and team with Emgro regularly. It will keep him from going mad from soloing and randomly eating people's faces.
Years ago, I knew a girl who had dreams about me eating her face. Yes, in the cannibalistic sense. I have no idea what this means, but it was creepy, and I think put an unpleasant friction on our relationship.

Sorry for the random post but I have to get this off my chest (or leg as the case may be 
)
I am now completely positive that my healthcare provider is in fact managed by the monty python team.
Firstly we used to have a GREAT healthcare provider paid for by work, I went to them when I developed a lump on my leg and they said to leave it alone and it should be no problem. Fast forward a few years, and the company decides to save money by changing providers. Now Mr Lumpy decides to go panic inducingly strange so I go to the new healthcare provider to get it checked out. "its a pre-existing condition" they say, so not covered (GRRR).
So I go to the local free clinic and they refer me to a specialist, only they lost my details after I went in so no actual specialist referal, Finaly get to see the specialist who decides that the initial private specialist mis diagnosed Mr Lumpy and its a different type of scary "C" word condition, specialist tries to book me for an apointment with a hospital for surgery but loses my details again.
However the specialist updates my main health records with the private insurer, who now calls me up and demands to know why I am going to a public clinic when I have private insurance. After a long rambling and confusing conversation (much like this post) it turns out that the initial diagnosed cancer type 1 is still listed on my medical records as a pre-existing condition. Cancer type 2 which is the current diagnosis (but same lump) is a NEW condition and so covered.
At one point during the call today the insurance guy conferenced in two specialists and tried reading out the precise condition name, neither doc had heard of it, and I am fairly sure that at least one of the words in the name was completely made up, I was expecting them to start talking about having the machine that goes ping.
So I am going to celebrate by going home and having a cheesburger, Have fun folks and don't forget to feed the llama

So, I did the alt-shuffle last night. One new defender (that's working out better then I expected, but so did my last Sonic/Sonic character - she made it all the way to 18 before I threw up my hands and gave up), a new brute (Stone/Stone) and a new stalker (DB/DA). May reroll the Stone/Stone at some point because I was sort of brain dead thinking up a costume, and the one I came up with works much better on the DB/DA then it does her.
Starting my system to maintenance mode, and starting to plan out the rest of my day.
You're not the only one with insurance probs, they are indeed a pain.
My wife's work offers her health insurance and pays 90% of the premium. Last year they raised the deductible from 500 to 2500, but told her that they would reimburse 2000 of it.
My son was born almost 11 weeks ago. Because he was 1 day premature, the billing was a little different in that we got a bill for my wife's services and a bill for my son's care, instead of it being together. So her employer decides they don't have to cover that second deductible, we're out $2,000. Thanks a lot!
Also, my son swapped from my wife's insurance to his own policy when he was a month old, my wife's insurance was charged way to much.
A few weeks ago he was diagnosed with Pyloric Stenosis and had surgery for it. We got the first bill yesterday and they're investigating it as a pre-existing condition, we're fairly sure the condition didn't start until after his new insurance, but if something was recorded wrong at a Dr's office we could be in for a long fight.
Ack, too much real world stuff.

I'm sorry to hear about insurance problems folks... Honestly, they're pretty much a racket, but a legal one, and a useful one.
They're basically betting you that you won't get sick, and you're betting that you will get sick. So either you don't get sick and pay them lots of money for nothing, or you do get sick, and then they do their best to pay as little as possible within the terms of your agreement with them. It's kind of a lose/lose situation for you...
Of course, you could be like me and not be able to afford insurance at all and hope to never get sick. Because when I do, I'm screwed basically.

No... Fey just always used to post in red text, which people said was impossible to read against the COV background. So now she posts in blue, which is impossible to read against the COH background. You just have to get used to highlighting her posts to read anything she says.

Sorry about the insurance problems all..I went through that for years..best was I was in a car accident and have permanent pinched nerve in my neck so I needed physical therapy for a year. Insurance company says everything agreed upon. 1 year of pt no problm. 45 days pass, my pt goes youre out of pt sessions.

yep. the insurance i had allowed for 45 days of pt a year per existing condition. but those 45 days had to be consecutive calendar days.

Insurance companies are the worse than the mafia. At least when you pay the mafia they prevent things! Insurance doesn't prevent anything AND they don't pay for anything.
