good rig....low fps?
I suggest you post the results of CoH Helper and HiJackThis.
CoH Helper for a better description of your setup, and HiJackThis for a listing of what other programs you have running and that might eat your ressources.
Well since you don't list your CPU or video card, kind of tough to tell.
Post a CoHHelper report, it'll also include your in game settings for video, there may be a few things to tweak there for performance. It uses .Net 2.0 so you may need to download that from Microsoft.

anyone have any idea's?...i'm planning on getting a new gfx card, if i'm not able to resolve this issue.
Seriously. Your post was in the middle of the night. Most folks are still asleep. Give them a chance already.
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
You have *a lot* of other programs, processes, and services running in the background. When you turn up all the GFX bells and whistles, you're going to be maxing out the CPU or the GPU, and any other program running in the background is going to then impact performance.
You can surgically go in and start disabling all these programs/services, or, recommended for such a spaghettified registry: 1. back up data; 2. make sure you have an OS install disk; 3. reformat hard drive; 4. reinstall OS; 5. reinstall programs while running HijackThis to see which ones are aggressively inserting themselves into the startup registries and stopping it; 6. reinstall data.
Check out this to understand your HijackThis: http://www.pchell.com/support/hijackthistutorial.shtml A well-behaved program starts up when called (clicking its start icon) and dismounts itself from memory and running processes when closed. Aggressiveware installs itself, usually without getting your permission, into start up registries and loads you with bogus 'helper' processes which are designed mostly to keep themselves installed and on your mind as a form of advertising.
Here a list of programs/services that do not have to be running all the time (there *may* be a device which requires a startup program, but most of the device 'helper' programs that start on boot-up are unnecessary):

Don't 8.xx version numbers indicate a Window 7 driver or was that DirectX 11? Or is nVidia simply breaking naming convention again?
Turn off DoF, that should help on outdoor maps.

For reference, I have WinXP with the same driver and it shows:
6.14.0011.8585
There we go, first number is OS;
4 - Win 98/Me
5 - Windows 2000
6 - XP
7 - Vista
the 2nd number is Direct X compatibility;
10 - Direct X 5
11 - Direct X 6
12 - Direct X 7
13 - Direct X 8
14 - Direct X 9
15 - Direct X 10
So I'm guessing that a 8.15 driver means it's meant for Windows 7, Direct X 10 support.

I double checked the dl on the nvidia website, I downloaded the vista 64 bit driver for my gfx card...I wnt out & bought a geforce 285 gtx...and im getting 25-50 fps now. uninstalled the old drivers, and reinstalled fresh drivers after installing the new card.
maybe my 8800 gtx was getting old?

[/ QUOTE ] Out of curiosity, what driver version are you reporting now? The other card could have been old, overheating, or damaged over time by any number of things. It's hard to say at this point. Glad you are getting better numbers now though.
Perhaps the 8800 was full of crud and overheating...? Just a guess though, and since you've upgraded your card, then yes, it had gotten old.

Well... perhaps I was premature about that whole 'signing off' thing... - 11-9-2012
Old? I am using an 8800GT and I have great frame rates with everything at max. Granted, your 8800 is one generation older but it should not be a problem with a game like CoH/V. I have a friend who is using that card and he has no problems whatsoever with the frame rate. I recall reading that CoH/V relies more on the CPU than on the GPU.
This being said, DO blow out any dust from the GPU. I do this at least three times a year and there is a LOT of dust in there. That equates to overheating and poor performance.
Many toons on CoV and CoH. On-line 80+ months
