The new board already has "different smilies". I don't know if they'd ever take our suggestions and add them though... would be nice though.
I mean besides the standard smiley set that most forums come with, what ones would you want added to that which would specifically fit the game's theme?
The CoH star and CoV Arachnos symbol.
Archetype and Origin icons.
I doubt we'll get power icons, since that would make the list too unwieldy.
I'm not sure what else we can get. Signature character smilies? I seem to remember seeing them before (somewhere), especially a freaky-looking Ghost Widow one, but I don't remember where.

There is an entire set of signature character (both hero and villain) emoticons floating around. I am still disappointed that they aren't/weren't readily accessible by us board monkeys.
EDIT: Thought about it for a while, I bet they were for City of Hero.

I've ran a board before, and it really isn't difficult to add custom smileys without upgrading the entire forum software. Its simply adding the smilies to the correct folder and then adding the smiley codes to the appropriate section either in the board files or the database.

Yeah, but the software for this board is infamously terrible, as admitted by the devs, so I'm not making any presumptions.

I very much doubt that we're gonna get anything new as long as we're on these boards... but if/when we finally get new ones, what new/custom smilies would you like to see?
Personally, I'd love to get each of the Archetype and Origin emblems. And maybe some power icons too, though there's hundreds of those...
