Just want to let everyone know that this event is ONE WEEK away! Start playing around with your gladiator mixes to find out what works best.

See you then!

Off topic, but that pic reminds me of a screenshot I took in SWG years ago.

Hmmm, nostalgia....

Anyways, look sinteresting. I suppose it's time to test out my old Gladiator mix

Hi Isis. I would love to support this event but I'm pretty clueless when it comes to gladiators.

Are gladiator matches point based and how many points are we playing with?

Can you and or anyone reading please give me some info on what would be good gladiators and where do I get em?

I'm going to go post on the badge section now and see if I can get any info so I can come play with you guys.

This looks good Isis, thank you! I wonder how many of the taxis have tried gladiator matches? I'll be sure to let them know.

Well, as you play through the game, you unlock "gladiator" badges, which become available for you to choose as your minions in gladiator matches.

Take a look at List of gladiators on ParagonWiki.

In all honesty, I haven't played with Gladiators in quite a while so this info may be a bit rusty. But basically, your choice of gladiators is based on your badges. Usually if you get a kill# badge, you have the option of using that NPC as a gladiator. Some are overpowered and thus disallowed in the competition. Each combatant is allocated a certain number of points to spend on assembling their gladiator team -- each gladiator is worth a different number of points. For example, a Freak Tank will cost you more then a run-of-the-mill COT. I don't know if everyone gets the same number of points or whether someone with more badges might have more points to spend. Bring your character with the most badges -- that will give you the greatest flexibility in choosing your team. You run them just like a MM runs their pets. Its also worth it to select a mix of guys -- some offensive and some buffers/debuffers.

I don't know which ones are better then others. As they're NPCs, select the ones you remember being pretty tough.

Glad to see that we're getting a good response to this!

Our illustrious leader @SGAlliance made this one. I agree, its pretty cool!

Hi Isis. Mind checking the gladiator match options for us please. I think the matches are point based. Meaning you can choose max points each combatant is allowed to bring.

Unless obcourse you want the combatants to set their own numbers however they choose.

The only thing I really remember from the 1 time i tried gladiators a long long time ago was we had to choose how big (point total) an army one could bring.

Hi Isis! I just wanted to say a huge thanks for having this event, it was a lot of fun! I'm not very good at matches in the Arena, but this was great because I could just watch my gladiators battle it out instead. I even won a few matches, yay! I think everyone had a really good time, and I really appreciate the work and coordination you put into this event. Oh, and congratulations to the winners, of course!

Yay, Infinity Taxis!!!
Try my City without Taxis story (1679) if you get a chance and let me know what you think!
