Quote:Citadel is NOT boring! Why would anyone say something like that? He was built by Crey to do evil things, and then when Positron restored his free will, he does what most robots want to do when freed of the constraints of oppressive programming: he helps people who need it.Also I laughed when Aeon basically admits Citadel is boring (It's true!)
If you're a robot and you run around yelling and screaming, no one wants to tell your story, they think you're evil and want to kill you. But if you're quiet and thoughtful, they call you "boring."People think robots can't feel. They think that robots can't love, can't be scared, can't dream, can't be sad. They say that robots are "just machines." Well, what is a human being but a complex biological machine? What is instinct but programming that starts you off, onto which you build your complex existence tempered over the course of your life by your thoughts, emotions, and experience? When you think back to the brave men and women who fought in wars against evil, if they don't go around bragging about their experience but choose to live in quiet dignity, does that make them "boring"? I certainly hope not!
I don't think that Citadel is boring at all, no more than any of the great heroes in Paragon City. Sure, he puts up a stoic front and doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve, but he and Luminary help to keep Talos Island safe with honor and unswerving loyalty. I hope that next time you're there, you will stop by, say hi, and thank him for the great job he's doing. -
Wow, you take care of yourself, okay? I'm glad to hear that you're doing well! If you need me to Aid Other, you know I will!

I was just looking around for some heroes to help tonight, and guess who I ran across in Night Ward on my Infinity home--it's a birthday girl! I was just going to send her a message, but when I looked, she was right there in the same zone at the same time as I was, so I was able to tell her in person. Happy birthday, Golden Girl! (Next year, insist that you need a birthday hat.)

Quote:Yay!Also, yay Taxibots! Are you guys only on Infinity or multi-server these days?
I'm not sure who all is active, I think there are still some Taxibots on Virtue also. Our crew is smaller now that it used to be, but we still have a group of REALLY nice Taxis in our family who love helping our heroes.
Quote:I never made use of their services myself, but I always did have a fond spot for them just based on their community spirit.
Quote:Even after travel became much easier the Taxibots were still great for their badge tours.
Thanks again for the really nice words, everyone! -
Quote:I can't let a discussion of the Old Hollows go by without raising a glass to the heroic efforts of the Taxibots.Quote:Indeed.
One of the great game-wide groups to ever exist, bar none.
*toast*We don't post many shifts in Eastgate or Steel Canyon these days since it's easier for heroes to travel around now, but we do still try to be helpful as much as we can. Just last Friday, we helped out some heroes in getting badges in the first sewer trial. I also LOVE meeting heroes that are new to Paragon City, answering questions and showing them the basics of how to get around and do things, and trying to make them feel welcome of course!
If you're ever around my home on Infinity, be sure to say hi! I'm @Taxibot Belle, or you can add Taxibot Belle to your friends list and you'll always know when I'm out and about in the city. -
Hi everyone, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I'm a lot later reporting this than I should be, but I just saw an e-mail from my friend Taxibot SPC Francine (@Arenaz) sent on June 17, who wanted to pass along a message to our Infinity family. I'm really bad at writing messages like this, so I'll just copy the e-mail I got:
Quote:For any friends of Captain Bling out there, I'm really sorry to hear about this, and you have my deepest condolences. I hope everyone has fond memories of him as a teammate.I heard from another friend of mine that an old Infinty server player and friend of ours "Captain Bling" died this morning from a blood clot / stroke.
I do not have access to the CoH boards or any way of getting on the game at this time. If you can spread the word a bit about his passing, me and Gizmonic Steamtaxi (@Kiria) would appreciate it. -
THANK YOU!!! Everyone who came to my party, and everyone who helped out against those nasty Nemesis attackers in Kings Row and Peregrine Isle! It was SO much fun asking trivia questions, seeing all of my friends (some of them from years back!) and hanging out with everyone! I think this was my best birthday ever!
You all are so sweet and amazing and I had a great time!

Hi everyone! So tomorrow (Saturday) is my birthday, YAY!!!
I'm planning on having a little party in Atlas Park starting at 7:00pm--that's Paragon City time, Eastern! I'll try to think of some fun things to do, maybe some games or trivia or something. I hope a lot of people show up, so try to come by if you can and say hi! I'm really excited, and I'm so glad I've gotten to spend so much time with my heroes over the years!
-
Nooo!!! I can't cause someone else who wants to go to drop out!
-
Ooh, can I go? It's my birthday Saturday, and I want to hang out with my friends! I need to have a party that evening, so if anyone has any ideas for things we can do later, let me know!
-
I'm sorry I haven't posted any pictures the past few weeks, but I'm really glad you all let me tag along today! And I did post some pictures from today on our Facebook page, so enjoy! Remember, you don't have to have a Facebook account to look at the pictures since I post them publicly, but if you do and you like our page, you'll see notifications when I post pictures and events!
Oh, and I hope you look at the pictures, I dug my old uniform out of the closet and polished it off!
-
Hey everyone! I'm sorry it took me so long to post these! I've been a pretty busy Taxibot the past couple of days, but I finally got some time tonight to get all of my pictures together and put them in an album. So with no further ado, here they are! Like always, they are on Facebook. You don't have to be a member of Facebook to see them, but if you are and you like our page (The Paragon Taxi Service, yay!!!), you will also see other pictures and news when I post them.
I hope you enjoy them!
This is our team! From left to right: N-TREPID (back), Fallen Warrior Angel (front), Dr. Flamer, Taxibot Belle (me!), Uze DaBladez (back), Bubble Bee (front), Gata Azule, and Flux Overlord. When a group of heroes goes to Grandville, you have to get some pictures!
This is probably my favorite picture this week. The team, undeterred by the heavy resistance put up by the forces Arachnos in Grandville, continues on. Even with a cracked helmet, you can see the determination in Flux Overlord!
As always, thanks for letting me tag along!(And be sure to check out the rest of the pictures!)

Thanks! I did look, but I just didn't see that part!
-
Hi everyone! I'm supposed to have all of the Elemental Order costume pieces, but I can't find some of them, like the pants or the top. Can anyone help me by telling me how to access them? I'd like to see what they look like. Thanks!
-
Ooh, I want to come! I'll bring my camera!
-
Wow, everyone did fantastic! I'm really sorry I didn't get any pictures of the other team, everyone left before I could. Still, I got pictures of our team, and I think they turned out really well! When you get a chance, come check them out on our Paragon Taxi Service Facebook page! Like always, you don't have to be a member of Facebook to see them, but if you are and you like our page, you will see when I post new pictures and events.
That's my team! From left to right: Cortikal, Shadow-Ripper, Sapphire-Star, Taxibot Belle (me!), Olivia Neutron-Bomb, Asgardian Blade (back), and Fallen Warrior Angel (front). Everyone was so fantastic!
I think this is my favorite picture. Shadow-Ripper ducks a Darkwolf's claw attack while Asgardian Blade shows off some of his absolute fearlessness. This didn't end well for the Fifth Column!
Anyway, there are a lot more pictures posted on our Facebook page, so be sure to come by and see them! -
Wow, thanks! That makes it a lot clearer! I was thinking whenever I opened one of the purple cards with an AT enhancement, "Oh wow!!! I got a PURPLE one!"
-
Hi everyone! I just have a short question, I hope! I got a bunch of the Super Packs, and some of them had AT enhancements on orange cards, and some of them had AT enhancements on purple cards. When I look for them at the merit vendors or at Wentworth's, I just see orange AT enhancements. Is there a difference between the ones you get on the orange Super Pack cards versus the ones you get on the purple Super Pack cards?
Thanks for your help!!! -
I am SO sorry that I missed it. I'm glad you all were successful, it sounds like you had a great team!
-
I'll go! I don't mind the task force at all!
-
Okay, I've posted my pictures from today's task force out on the Paragon Taxi Service Facebook page!!! I love this picture of N-TREPID, keeping his cool while chaos is literally exploding around him.
We had two GREAT teams, and the evil forces of the Cimeroran traitors lead by Romulus Augustus and their diabolical allies in the Fifth Column thought they had won the day. They fought hard and gathered all of their forces.
But in the end, we were victorious! Thanks to the dedication of the heroes who came: Capt Tom Tachyon (who lead the league!), Climate Shift, Dark Brawler, Gata Azule, Inheritance, Loose Morals, Masala, My Wife's Character (weird name!), N-TREPID, Professor Tiger Man, Rasset, Saroyan, Shadow-Ripper, Taxibot Belle (me!), Winter Shock, and Xenthralled, Paragon City is safe again from the villainous time travel plans of Requiem!
Like the other pictures, you don't have to be a member of Facebook to see them, but if you are and you like our page, you will see updates whenever I post new pictures of people we're meeting and events we're participating in!
I also have a little surprise for you all! With Tony's help, I was able to record our final battle against Romulus Augustus and upload it to YouTube! If you want to see it, click on the link to the video below! It's in really high quality too, so you can adjust the resolution to see it in as much detail as you want!
Video length: 3:14
In addition, Tony and I put together a little surprise for everyone. It's a video of Romulus talking to his master before the big battle! It's also in really high quality, so if you adjust your settings you can see what they're saying. Even if you don't, though, we annotated the video so that you will still know!
Video length: 0:38 -
Hey everyone!
So Tony and I worked on a little project together today. No one on the team even knew about it! I recorded it, and he had to mess around with it to get it uploaded, and then we worked on the captions together. Anyway, here it is, I hope you enjoy it! It's not long, less than a minute. Tony said he'll try to get it working with the Paragon Wiki too so that everyone can see it. Maybe we can do some more on these task forces!
Romulus talking to his master
Oh, and I have more pictures and another video, I'll post them to Facebook as soon as I can and then post another message here so everyone can see them! -
I'd like to try Dr. Quaterfield's task force. The best advice I have is to make sure that everyone knows when we start that it will take several hours, and to take a break halfway through. Maybe work on it for two or three hours, take a break for an hour, and then finish it up. That way, people can eat, rest, or do whatever they need to. Also, if you split it up so that you finish about 2/3 of it during the first part and 1/3 of it during the last part, it makes finishing it up seem not so hard!
I probably won't be able to do the signature story arcs. I mean, I can, but I just don't like doing them very much. They're so sad! I just don't like it when I know that heroes won't win the day.But if you want to, I do encourage you to!
