Saturday Task Forces

I have two questions regarding future plans.

1) Do a significant number of people want to include the Dr Quaterfield TF?
I was thinking it's a bit long to do as part of our regular event, but a number of people seem to want to include it. Post your opinion on the matter.

2) How many non-VIP players do we usually have?
After Signature Story Arc #6 is released, I was thinking about running parts 1-3 one week and 4-6 the following week. Of course, this content is only available to VIP players (or non-VIP's who have purchased the content - which I can't imagine being very many people).

I'd like to try Dr. Quaterfield's task force. The best advice I have is to make sure that everyone knows when we start that it will take several hours, and to take a break halfway through. Maybe work on it for two or three hours, take a break for an hour, and then finish it up. That way, people can eat, rest, or do whatever they need to. Also, if you split it up so that you finish about 2/3 of it during the first part and 1/3 of it during the last part, it makes finishing it up seem not so hard!

I probably won't be able to do the signature story arcs. I mean, I can, but I just don't like doing them very much. They're so sad! I just don't like it when I know that heroes won't win the day. But if you want to, I do encourage you to!

Yay, Infinity Taxis!!!
Try my City without Taxis story (1679) if you get a chance and let me know what you think!

My 2 pennies.

1) Due to computer inadequacies in the past (barely above minimum requirement computers do not a fun task force make!), I very, very rarely ran TFs and have never run any Shadow Shard TFs. So I would really like to run all Shard TFs with Asgardian Blade. If the group decides not to do Dr. Quaterfield as the regular event, I'd still like to get a group to run it sometime.

2) Saint and I are both VIP so running the SSAs aren't an issue. Personally, I'd rather run stuff you are required to have a group to run instead of something that can be soloed/duoed. However, if you decide to run them, I'll be there cause I enjoy our Saturday get-togethers.

I'm not there all the time - in fact the months of Feb. - April are bad for me to be online on a Saturday afternoon.

But I would also like to experience all of the Shard TFs, including Quaterfield.

And I'm VIP as well - I love the idea of running through all the SSAs in sequence over a couple of sessions. I hope I can make it.

Just remember, on the SSA's, if we run 3 at a time: For non-50's, there are only two major reward options: Hero Merit and Extra Reward Merits. Running a third one, most will just get minimal rewards (iirc, that's 2 Reward Merits plus 5 Reward Merits.) (People may want to consider switching toons for a better reward)

(I can't remember, can all 50's get the Threads reward or only 50's that have unlocked alpha?)

Also, the "one reward per week" may play a part as well. For instance, if we do WWD 1-3 on one Saturday at 1 pm, then WWD 4-6 the next Saturday at 1 pm, the cool down time may not be enough. (Again, people may want to consider switching toons)(or we may want to aim for a slightly later start time on the second Saturday)

As far as Dr Q, I would prefer not to include it on the normal Saturday TF and would prefer maybe doing it separately, for instance on a Sunday or on President's Day. Although, I'd most likely join if we did do it on Saturday.

1) I would enjoy doing the Story Arcs. I will have to think about whether to just run one toon for the XP or switch 50's as Gate suggests to get the maximum bonus on merits.

2) I really want to do Dr. Q on Angelica Venger. She is my badge toon and is missing all the Shard TF's. I will be home on President's day so that would work for me. I would also be game to do it on a Saturday and just plan to spend my day that way. Whatever the majority wants, I am flexible.

I like Belle's suggestion of doing it 2/3 take a little break and then finish.

Oh, and yes, I am a VIP player.

Every day I wake up is a good day.

With you guys, I'd be down for any TF. Dr Quarterfield, or any other you name.

I am also a VIP, so the Story arcs are good by me.

I've only been participating for a few weeks (My Wife's Character) but here are some thoughts anyway! Would love to do Dr. Quarterfield but I won't have time for the whole thing on a Saturday until May...I love the President's Day Dr. Quarterfield idea. Am VIP and like the Story Arcs idea, maybe staggered for max rewards.

And thanks for running these, Ironblade. Have had a lot of fun on your weekly tfs.

Well, a lot of people want to include this TF at the regular time, so we will. However, since it will consume a larger-than-normal chunk of the weekend, we'll be running it on the 3-day weekend coming up. i.e. On Saturday Feb 18, the weekend of Presidents Day.

And this idea was not as well-received, so not gonna do this.
However, I'm thinking about running a single Signature Story Arc on any Saturday that we finish the task force early.
