Really weird on the market

I posted bids yesterday for 4 of a recipe redside at 75000

I had 2 of the 4 bids filled with 2 remaining but the listing for the item reads

Sold 6-01 14:12 50,0000
Sold 5-23 8:50 100,000
Sold 5-21 1:08 50,000

Is this kind of thing common ? Did my purchases just not happen ? How did the 50K sale beat my 75k bid ?

No, but it's happened to me a couple of times over the years.

My theory is that it's some sort of lag/rollback effect.

this happened to me the other day.

I had some bids out on generic IOs for my new brute and the entire 'last 5' had filled below my price without satisfying my desires.

I got 'em the next day, but it was the first time I'd seen that kind of thing firsthand.

Thanks everyone,

Good to know its not just me, bad to know that the code that runs the market is flaky. I guess I will petition it.

Happened the other day to me. I seemed to have stumbled into someone's mid value niche

I put in 4 bids at 100,007 came back the next day with 1 purchased and a last 5 of:

53,773
500,000
53,773
53,773
100,007

The last 5 should have looked like this:

100.007
500,000
100.007
100,007
100,007

and my stack should have been full but it wasn't.

Tried to take a screen shot but the /screenshotui 1 command had failed when I went looking for it to attach it to the ask a question file.

Since I don't take UI screenshots very often, I usually just use alt+printscreen. You can then paste that into the bitmap or rich text editor of your choice. It's a lot easier for me to make sure I got the screenshot, too, as opposed to rooting around in my screenshots directory.

Just a suggestion.

That's what I do when I go in there. Of course, since I am constantly poking around in other directories and loading up 2+GB of stuff in RAM, Windows happily flushes my directory window settings (it's set to remember the max of 400).

I never said that was hard. But for me, alt-printscreen, mouse to my quickmenu, paste and alt-s is a lot easier than /screenshotui 1, printscreen, pulling up an explorer window, navigating to my screenshots and then making sure the sort order gets me the latest one. Oh, and then /screenshotui 0.

I could make a shortcut right to my screenshots directory, but I don't go in there that often.

When you take a normal screenshot the exact same screenshot with the UI is copied to your clipboard. Open up Pain/<insert your image editor> and you should be able to paste it in no problem.

Theres also a setting in the options to toggle the UI on/off for screenshots as well.

Printscreen will capture whatever your /screenshotui setting has in place. So if you take a screenshot with it the UI off , your clipboard will have the same picture.

If you use alt+printscreen, it captures your actual rendered screen, UI and all (and does not also take a screenshot in your screenshot folder).

Why they don't just let us bind a different key for UI-enabled screenshots in the folder is beyond me, but for the way I do things, the alt-printscreen thing works out fine.

Printscreen copies the entire screen at the same time as the screenshot is made. No Alt is needed. They DO let us use a different key for taking screenshots. You can change it in Options/Keymapping, or manually /bind it yourself.

You very much did not understand me.

1) Printscreen copies the actual screenshot contents to your clipboard. This means that if you have UI off, you get a screenshot with no UI in your clipboard. Even if you have UI off and you use alt-printscreen, then you get your screen with full UI on the clipboard, regardless of whether you have /screenshotui on or off.

2) You cannot bind one key to UI screenshots and another key to non-UI screenshots. You can only bind one key to screenshots and another to controlling whether the first key's screenshots include the UI or not. The two are not the same. In particular, having two distinct screenshot style keys avoids the problem of not knowing what UI capture state you are currently in when you take a screenshot (as does my alt-printscreen trick).

I understood you perfectly.

1> When I press Printscreen, a no-UI version gets saved to my screenshots folder, and a dump of everything on the screen - game, UI, title bar with [_][o][X] in the corner, and Start Menu/Task bar - gets copied to the OS clipboard, ready to be pasted into MS Paint. I do it all the time.

Maybe it only works that way when you play windowed mode? I play in windowed mode and get the full ui in my clipboard. /shrug

Just a note regarding those binds: some binds process the commands left to right, others right to left. It's been so long since I've used them that I forget how they work. You might have to switch their positions.

But I'm fairly sure that if there's no game functions (targetting, powers, etc) involved, it's left to right.
