Slotting Nova Form...

Hi all,

I am curious to know how the rest of you slot Nova form and would like to make some comparisons. Keep in mind, I use this toon primarily for PVP.

Currently I have mine slotted with:

Soaring End/Fly
Soaring Fly
Blessing of the Zephyr End/Fly
Lvl 50 End Mod IO X 2
Rectified Reticle +Perception IO (I PVP on this toon)

I am wondering if I have gone overboard on the +fly and or +end (I really don't have any end problems whatsoever in Nova) so I've been thinking of switching the End Mod IOs for three Performance Shifter IOs for the +rec and +HP.

OR...

Switching to one Lvl 50 Fly IO, Lvl 50 EndMod IO, Gaussian's Tohit, Gaussian's Tohit/End, Gaussian's Tohit/End/Rech and Rectified Reticle +Perception IO . (This would give me a bit more tohit and a few more HPs at the cost of some flight speed and recovery.)

Suggestions?

I like to use the PShifter proc in Nova because the +Rec of the form isn't that great. For PvE I use 3 PShifters, 2 Zephyrs and a Guassian proc. You could replace either the Guassian or the PShifter double in that slotting (use the Proc and the pure EndMod) with the +PER IO.

[Edit:]

The PShifter proc is equivalent to 80% enhancement in Nova.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I always forget about HamiOs. That's a good idea.

Um the recovery buff in nova form is 15%, the end use is .26 and the to hit buff is 9%. So for that 5 extra slots in the form you get about 5% to hit, and gain about .7 end total.

Not very much return for five slots invested.

It's not even that much. It's just under 0.4 e/s.
I'm a fan of the Gaussian proc and Stealth IO in Nova.

@Gilia1
I play heroes on Champion.
I play villains on Virtue.

I used to slot it more heavily.

Now - +Perc IO. Not just for PVP, but dealing with the various Arachnos mobs that give -perception or have some degree of stealth. It's a cheap IO.

I want to say I have one set up with one of the fly sets for one of the bonuses, but don't quote me on that. I'm very light on slotting Nova these days - Dwarf as a form gets more attention by far.

I know it's overkill, but Nova is my primary form as it's at 48% ranged defense. I only switch to human form for Hasten & heals. I have thought about slapping some procs in there, just haven't gotten around to it.

With End Cost reduction in Nova Form which the Hami's provide very handily. The net Recovery Gain is quite a bit higher then what slotting alone would indicate. IF you are building a Forms Savant, I do recommend slotting up the base form powers. Each individual buff/enhacement may seems small. But then you pile them on top of one another, the perform quite well.

3 end mods 3 to hit buffs. Does great. I dont have to use acc in nova attacks like that and my end stay up.
