Merits = io recipie = $
i know I'm probably going out on a whim here, but I would say 1 of the following:
Luck of the Gambler: +7.5% global recharge
Numina's Convalescence: +regen/+recovery
Miracle: +recovery
Of course, because of the latest NCSoft indiscretions, I haven't logged into the game for quite some time. But I'm fairly sure they selll at the highest price (excluding PvP and Ultra Rare's).
Luck of the Gambler Increased recharge is #1 in direct purchase. Random Gold Recipe Rolls are worth as much or more on average. You are extremely likely to achieve that average or close to that average in 10 rolls... which is how much buying the Luck of the Gambler itself costs.
To add to what others have said, be careful what level you buy, numinas and miracle uniques are often most valuable at the lowest available level, this may not be true of LotGs where the def component varies with level, do a little research.
It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba

Not so much on the extremely likely in 10 rolls.
Fullmens had a thread documenting his purchases of peoples rolls in the 30-33 level range. You might want to take a look and see what the actual results were
I haven't done much recipe buying since the weighted rolls went live- I don't know how the random rolling stacks up. If you do random roll, I think that 35-39 is still your best bet.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

I actually compared the prices between the 3 and decided to go with the Miracle: +recovery. It netted me 90 million crafted abouts (minus fees etc. )
I thought i had calculated from a random rolling poll (Smurphy's i believe?) that trial recipe sweet-spots was 35-39 and TF sweet-spots was 30-34 and a toon parked at lvl 33 was the best option (prior to rolls merging into one)
I'm trying to find the post where this conclusion came from, but i'm not having any luck. Can anyone correct me or at least validate me if I happen to be the first to lay it all out in one post?

I think that may be backwards, NiVra.
Almost all the ends-at-30 TF stuff is terrible, and if you roll 30-34 you risk getting that stuff. 35-39 prevents that. When you put a few Trial recipes into the TF pool, they sort of get swallowed.
Here's the list- although they are weighted and we don't know the exact weightings.

Hmm, you are right that the choices do suck, but maybe it was more beneficial due to weighting balance vs. the diversity of choices?
However, I tried looking back to see why someone at one point on these boards suggested I stick to 33 for a merit-farmer toon, rather than topping it off at 35.
I THINK this was a suggestion by a pvper in those forums but i can't seem to find it.

I imagine lvl 33 was suggested because, like you said, PVPers using them in Sirens Call. I don't know how busy that place is anymore though, so that idea may be a dead one.
What's one of the best recipes to buy with merits and sell at market?
