I can't make up my mind about theese two, please help.

What is the pros/cons of both?

Off hand :

Mind/TA gets better damage early on. Earth/anything is rotten for damage until 32. I've found low level earth a lot better with two veteran attacks.

Earth gets a pet; Mind doesn't. Useful if you want something to tank an alpha for you.

Outside of that both combos are very synergistic. If you take Mind/TA, make sure to be Magic or Tech so you can light your own Oil Slick with your Origin Power.

Earth/Storm: Awesome AoE control, Tons of -Defense debuffs, positioning tools, visually overwhelming. Will be able to solo effectively in later levels, but has very low damage before level 32. Earth is the best AoE control powerset, combined with the most fun secondary. Earth's Stone Cages has -Knockback to make Tornado into a damage machine. The upgrades to Earth's Pet have made Rocky into one of the better pets in the game. You have a lot of options on how to handle any situation.

Mind/TA: Mind has an early attack chain, Don-Mez-Lev, that makes solo play in lower levels easy. While Mind has good single-target control in lower levels, you have to rely upon an AoE Sleep and a slow recharging AoE Hold for AoE control in lower levels. In upper levels, the damage becomes less impressive, but Mind has good overall AoE control with an AoE confuse and hold and sleep, plus a cone fear. Mind doesn't need much from the secondary. TA has added control, adding some AoE control. It gets one damage power at 35 and some good debuffs. Very, very tight build, and very clicky.

I'm working on an Earth/Storm, after having played Earth and Storm up to 50. It is a great combo.

I took an Ill/TA up to 50. TA is an OK secondary, but I like Rad better. Mind is an OK primary, but I miss having a pet and it is visually boring.

Just my opinion. I'm sure others will disagree.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

Mind/TA is very easy on the video card. It's very clicky, but most of those clicks are very effective. You can hold down many groups at once, while debuffing them for your team, or you can melt down single groups very quickly. The secondary is very light on endurance costs. Which is nice with mind because of telekinesis which basically adds a very nice panic button in case you need another one.

Imo mind/TA has more overall control than earth/storm. earth/storm is far far easier to play though. The combinations and choices you have to make are obvious. Your secondary helps boost the lack of damage from your primary. Earth/Storm and Plant/Storm are two trollers I've always wanted. The -KB in the immob makes your tornado and hurricane less annoying in groups and easier to abuse.

I'm super tempted by both of those options too, but I'd go with Earth/Storm. It will be slow early, but MA can help with that. In later levels you will be a nearly unstoppable machine capable of tanking, herding, positioning and debuffing. The secondary does a lot without a lot of thinking and the primary is filled with a nearly endless supply of panic buttons and useful skills.

Thanks for the answers everyone.

I would try Mind/TA. TA is my favorite secondary hands down, and combined with Mind's high control abilities, it is sure to be tons of fun. I am actually starting one of my own this very moment!

Try Mind/Ta you won't regeret it. Tho it is vastly different to Earth/Storm.

Earth will give you lotsa -def. Which means less accuracy is needed.

Solo Mind/Ta never slows down.

Mine is 41 and I have cut back playin her as not to level to 50 too soon. I have done every TF upto 40. I have gotten nukes in warburg with ease. The good thing about Mind/TA is you are always active. You don't need a pet. Terrify is HUGE!! Read HUGE!! Ok damage but it hits everything in front of you for the most part. If used after the AOE sleep the damage is really impressive.

A good way to destroy mobs. Open with the AOE sleep. Cast disruption arrow, terrify. Disruption arrow doesn't break sleep.

Slot your single target sleep with ranged damage sets. Lift is fantastic for damage and mitigation. At 32 Mass confusion-Disruption Arrow-Acid Arrow, sit back laugh.

Tho plant can do that trick much earlier, its cone does not hit as many targets as easy. But plant does it much sooner and it recharges much faster.

Mind does get a single target confuse early which makes soloing even easier. Since a confused mob won't attack you. It also works wonders on fortunadas (who resist most mez attacks)

Earth/Storm will be a powerhouse but in a much different way with a much different playstyle. If you can contain the chaos its gold, if your not careful then things can south real quick.

I will go and tell you this, Mind/TA is so awesome I did not take EM Pulse or the AOE Hold. Blasphemy to some I know. But I simple do not need em, tho I might pick one up around 49 just for fun. YMMV.

I don't plan on taking the AoE hold either. It just is redundant and a waste of slots/a power when you have so much control at your disposal. However, EM Pulse is probably a good thing to have for those "Oh snap!" moments when everything is on cooldown and you need a panic button.

Yeah I think EM Pulse will be my late choice. If nothing else it gives me a place to slot another 4 pieces of Basilisks Gaze for that extra 7.5% global.

Mind/Ta is my favorite toon. So many holds its not funny. The Ice arrow gives you a near instant boss hold which is up all the time, used in combination with one of the AOE's and you can lock down two bosses in seconds (ice arrow, AOE hold, dominate a second one).

In high level groups, one of your AOE controls will be ready every fight (for me I just alternate between Mass Confusion and AOE Hold), so I open with that. Then fire one or two of the TA AOE debuffs and get to chomping through the bosses.
