PS has anyone found any maps that actually work as they claim to, in regard to placement points? A list of reliable maps would be great.

*Sorry, sarcasm there. No, I'm also frustrated with the placement points being treated as a "vague suggestion" rather than as an actual hard rule.*

Turg Fiction: IX is now LIVE on Architect Entertainment!
Typically, mere minutes after hitting 'post', I solved it, though the solution doesnt make me think it's solved ALL my placement hair-tearing lol.
it turned out that on the particular map I am using, middle and back are reveresed but ONLY for collections, not bosses!

Apparently the giant robot map only has one rescue point, which is aaaall the way at the top. So the hero who is supposed to help you with the AV in one of the arcs I'm working on (not the one in my sig I pimp constantly) will only spawn at the top while the boss will spawn randomly anywhere on the map regardless of where I tell him to go.
there is an orabenga map that is very consistent (not 100%) with placement of clickies.
The "middle" places it in the back room
and the "back" places it in the middle room
but it is consistent in its placement.

Yep, and when you rescue him the ally proceeds to run around like an idiot, going after the turrets, aggroing everything you didn't kill on the way up. Really, you're better off not including an ally on that map.

I've been having placement madness as well. The ally, who spawns in the "Front" often spawns in the Badk. As in, he spawns in the left back trouser pocket of the Boss. Who actually does spawn in the Back. Usually. I've been going nuts trying to find an office map in which spawns happen somewhere remotely related to where they're supposed to spawn.
Trick:
When trying to do placement of an object, create an object named Front, change the number of them to however many Front spots there are. Do the same for Middle and Back.
If need be, create some dummy groups: Front/middle/back, do the same.
Can help you map out where stuff is.
I hope to heck they plan on fixing the placement points thing with maps. I havbe been trying for the last 3 hrs to find an arachnos map, ANY arachnos map, where the placement points are at least consistent in their placing, even if back means middle etc.
For an example, I have 2 collections set to Front, and on my latest Potential Map, they ALWAYS appear in the perfect spot near the front of the map. Two bosses, that I've also set to Front, appear at the back, in the middle, anywhere but Front. The map is big enough and according to its info the bosses WILL fit in the front. To make thigns worse, if i just swap Middle and Back, my collections set to Middle (that previously appeared in Back) now still appear in the back but the bosses appear in the middle!
