Tech support?

So, ah, does this game actually have tech support, or are these forums all there is? I'm yet to get any help with my problem, posted over 24 hours ago.

Is there a way to get proper help?

NCSoft Support

Click on the Ask a Question tab. You can ask your question and you'll create your Support Account at that point.

Note, your support account login and password are different from your master account. (And your master account with NCSoft could, some would say should, have a different login ID and password than the game.)

That trouble with logging in is why I always try to start my tickets from inside the game with a /petition.

As Eislor said, NCsoft does not provide Technical Support on our Forums.

We have a Technical Support team, a Billing Team and Customer Support team who help players with their problems.

Our Online Community Team that monitors these forums are charged with Community Relations, and not Technical Support.

If we (developers) and the Community Team answered every single Technical issue within the Technical Issues / Bugs forum section, we would be undermining the Support Teams (Technical, Billing & Customer Support).

By filing a Support Ticket (see my signature for the link), we will be able to work one-on-one with you, and track your particular issue. If we see common ticket trends, our Technical Support team may ask the Community Team to post recommended solutions or ask for more information to identify causes.

By far and large, most issues are resolved by checking/changing firewall settings, changing program access in Vista/XP or updating drivers (graphics and audio).

The simple answer is that real responses come for in-game issues like being stuck, etc. Anything outside of that and your pettition gets a nice form email telling you to post on the forums so the rest of the community can commiserate or evascerate you (that being their choice).

Unless your issue is a severe glitch "OMG everything is selling for 300mil influence on Wentworths" don't depend on any immediate action at all, it will go into a bin like a bingo cage and one day may be grabbed out for consideration.

so which firewall setting and or router problem is causing entire teams to map serve when entering a mission, TF, Req, MA whatever? Or what setting puts half the team in one instance and the other half in a different instance? If your not seeing these sort of things then your not looking hard enough. Since all the emergency patches started flowing after I14 dropped one or the other of the above has happened to a team I was part of at least ONCE a night on protector.

I figured having to have a GM get us into 3 consecutive mission doors on the ITF would be a flag....but I guess not.

Yall have a problem with the mapserver on protector (thats where I play, cant speak about other servers) and we'd like yall to fix it.

By all means undermine the system if it gets fixed. Thats better than canned email responses.

Have you /bug'd it Hookecho? If not you should as that's the only way their system will have the tickets showing.

after 3 /petition's for a GM to get us into an ITF door and getting canned replys I gave up. Besides if I did it each and every time it locked someone on the team outside ti would be about a 100 tickets by now.

While that may be seriously frustrating on your end, 100 tickets on a recurring issue
might fuel the fire enough to get an actual human being to look at it on theirs...

Additionally, /bug provides quite a bit of additional game information (as I understand
it), so perhaps, those reports could potentially help identify a pattern to the problem.

the biggiest problem is when the different instance bug hits or the entire team map serves, the team in most cases falls apart. By the time the GM shows up the team is either reformed and doing something else or your now on a different team.

but I swear if my whole team map serves and I /bug it and they ask me for a hijack this....I'm gonna break something.
