Crey Hero Map
There have been no red name comments on the removal, but my guess is it's because glowies could spawn inside walls in the big final room.
I spent Tuesday pondering driving down to Paragon Studios to complain about this. It basically killed my arc in its current form; I'll need to do a lot more playtesting to find another map with the right placement characteristics and story fit, and I simply don't have time to do that.

Id like to know this too! My arc centers around that one room! Well not really but its really is important to my arc's main plot.
Ditto. Hang tight, it'll probably be back. I'm pretty sure it was taken down for technical reasons, not because of exploits or HAX or a hatred of clones.

My wife and I were affected by this too. When I tried to republish one of my arcs, I couldn't, but there were no errors, until I checked up mission one-at-a-time and noticed that I couldn't use this map any more. Hope it comes back soon.
The crey hero map is one of the best maps to create scripted end boss fights too. So much is able to spawn in the back that you can get stage waves going on of ambushes without having to use "ambush" at all.
I am saddened that it is gone too :/
I don't know if it was _the_ reason, but when testing an arc of mine that used this map, I found glowies would repeatedly spawn inside walls in the last room. They would be unreachable. I /bugged it.
The "burning forest" map had the same thing happen. Poof. Great dramatic backdrop for a final battle, too; lotta arcs rug-pulled.
Hoping they will be fixed and reintroduced promptly.
I'm also hoping the Crey Hero Lab will be back, and did see where the spawn points were not quite right.
I've been here a looong time, and have faith that it will be eventually fixed.

We're still trying to find out the reason for the removal of these two maps on this thread. So far, no RedName or other person "in the know" has commented on why these two maps have been removed. Although, given how much time has passed and that no other maps have been mentioned as being gone it appears isolated to just these two.
However, we are also completely speculating as to whether they're gone temporarily or for good. Clarification would be a wonderful thing methinks...

Considering that other bugged things in the MA system have been pulled, fixed, and returned, I'd say there's a pretty good chance that this will be back. We may have to wait a while, though.
(I need this map for an arc I'm thinking of, so I hope it's sooner than later, but... *shrug*)

Well it's been almost a month and and still no explination as to why this map was pulled or if it will be returning. So they want you to create non -farm content, but when you do they reserve the right to just ruin your story without so much as a reason why or a time frame as to when it will be fixed.
And the map is still unavailable with issue 15. I can honestly say I will not be spending any more time creating content for their game until this is addressed.

Well, I15 is still in early beta. I'm hopeful that the much touted new improved AE will include fixes for all old broken maps.

It was pulled because the last room was non-standard and led to glowies spawning inside walls or in other unreachable geometry positions. This was reported during I14 open beta by a number of people, including myself. Not knowing how much work it takes to modify maps to update where spawns are allowed to be created, it is not possible for anyone who's not a redname to predict when the map will be returned to "available" status.

They should have pulled it in beta, or not at all. Failing that they should have warned us that the change was coming and told us what the plans were for restoring it, if any.
The devs get an F from me on this one.

I agree that they should have pulled it in beta. I don't know how it got left in. I mean, fercryinoutloud, A'ville was the author of the mission that clued me into the problem, and she has confirmed in other threads that *she* /bugged and reported it.

Um, why was it removed? One of my stories was about the clone hero project.
