Stalker Secondaries in PvP?
I'd probably go WP for general purpose PvP use now. It tends to do the best overall with the way PvP is now.
"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict
I have a DM/Nin that I PvP with once in a while. Seems to work pretty good, and it has a lot of skippable powers to loosen your build up a little bit, only 5 are vital.

What in particular makes it do better than /Nin?
It offers resistance to repel as well as easily capping your HP. The self heal is the same, and with the changes to elusivity in i14, defense isn't nearly as good as it used to be.
The two are close, but WP gets the nicer perks out of the two for PvP utility.

Is super reflexes a no no then?
Well, SR is better than Dark, that's for certain. It can be used quite well in PvP actually, but against an organized team that has even a vague idea of what they're doing, you'll want to have something else.

Gotcha. That sucks. Have a lot of themeatic uses for super reflexes. Really wanted to make a nasty evil super speedster :-(
If you're just hitting up the zones, you don't need to worry about it too much. You'll be able to get in, get your kill, and get out most of the time without too much ruining your day.

From what Ive heard, Elec/WP or Elec/Regen. Ive been trying my Nin and if anything has Aim theyll cut right through you still, even with Retsu up.
If you absolutely must have DM then more power to you.
Stalkers secondaries are all weak in PVP when you think about it. They all have their perks in certain situations though.

As long as you can Resist KB and Repel youre a step above though. Getting thrown around by someone with Levitate is bawls.
Def does suck again in PVP. Case in point, my /EA with Overload, demonic, shadow meld all running at the same time was hit repeatedly by an SS tanker. Moreover, I hit him a couple times with DM.
With PVP IOs (TP res, I'm looking at you) there is no reason to pick /EA over /WP especially since /WP gets a heal.

Nope, it was fixed in a recent patch.
The TP-Protection in my ELA/EA Brutes work just fine now.

Considering youre fighting a SS that has a Constant BU Running in the background its not unheard of. Especially since Rage is stackable.

I know, just don't agree that it should be the case. His one power, maybe two (FA), is negating my standard shield PLUS Overload PLUS shadowmeld PLUS an accolade (I also have a few KC IO sets).

Defense is an all or nothing thing...either it works or it doesn't. In your one case it just so happened to not, but this doesn't mean it's completely useless. Since it was made so popular by the "lol you can't hit me" era alot of people started going for soft cap, but then everyone else started going for to-hit and +acc to counter act it. Just gotta' face the music and realize you're going to get beat by something at one time or another. No you shouldn't be able to not get hit any of the time, that's called overpowered, but yes I'll agree that some attacks should miss. In all honestly defense and pvp just don't go together well in this game.
As far as pvp stalker secondaries go though I am a true believer that /regen is the best. With my SO'd kat/regen against an SO'd ss/invul, I win. With my elec/regen that I plan on IO'ing, it'll be hard as hell to kill me with dull pain up most of the time, a heal up every 20 seconds, and a bunch of god modes to back me up (phase, MoG, hibernate, temp phase, instant healing). Yes alot of the other secondaries have alot of bells and whistles to back them up, but in the long run it's the master of one trade and not the jack of all trades that wins. Think of pvp now as a childrens game, the easiest way is most likely the best way.
Yep, tank hit me like 5-6 times IN A ROW. Forgot to check combat logs and the chances. Guess it could have been a fluke.
I agree about /regen. Pretty good. Not sure how good against other stalkers [Rogue].

Wanted to make my first Stalker for pvp purposes, settled on DM as a primary, was wondering what I should consider when choosing a secondary. I'm hearing all kinds of opinions from different people in-game = Def is great, def sucks, regen is great, regen sucks...although almost everyone I've talked to so far seems to think SR should be avoided.
Any thoughts? Both for zone and for arena, although probably zone more often.
