well here's the background the logo would be (for the webpage anyway)
City of Heroes: Invasion I'm still tweaking and working on the back ground. One thing I'll probably do is take the drone out and replace it with a smoke plume, but I'll take suggestions for this as well.
..was thinking like a teeny tiny black outlined riki ship silhouette next to the upper right or left of the logo.. looks good so far though

Also I made a second version of the background with out the drone. So now ya can compare:
With the Drone

I'm with Bill, I like Version 3. All green tint is just too much.

No, it would just take longer then 5 minutes to accomplish. So I'll do if I stay with the cracked logo. but that's a decision for another day.

[/ QUOTE ]I like this, if "invasion" was bigger like the last tilted image ... would also suggest toning down the brightness of the green. Rikti aren't little green men, after all...there's no reason for the logo to be neon...use one of the medium greens from the drone (I like w/drone better than w/smoke).

Don't crack the lettering on City of Heroes. It's difficult to read and that's the opposite of what you want. Instead, separate the letters in a way that's still readable. I'd use the 1st logo, but with the standard blue for the City of Heroes text. Then if you want to crack something, crack the Invasion text. Don't tilt it.
The Invasion text has obvious borders so when you crack it, it's still easy to make out it's silhouette. On the other hand the City of Heroes text has a more ambiguous silhouette, so cracking it just makes it even harder to read.

hey all, So here's what I'm doing: I'm working on a CoH story line dealing with a Third invasion by the rikti. Big difference is this time the Rikti take control of the earth. I won't bore you with the deails, if you want to read that click here. The reason I'm making this post: I need some feedback/suggestions for the logo I'm making.
Here's what I've made so far:
Version 1
Nice, plane and simple.
Version 2
At the suggestion of a friend, I cracked the invasion subtitle.
Version 3
This time I cracked the CoH logo and removed the green tint.
So thoughts, suggestions, criticisms, critique, ideas, feed back?
