Two Simple rules that fix farming

The only NPC in a slot in a custom group can not be one that summons other NPCS like a Rikti Comms Officer

Every slot that has something must have a minimum of 1 ranged stock or custom character. No Melee Melee Burn piles.

Instead of harassing people who used the work farm or farmer or EI EI O in their mission text just fix the custom group rules that allow people to create burn piles of NPCs which are completely helpess when immobilized. The first thing being used is similar to the old portal spawning farming fix NC already did once. The second thing is much like the Sky Raider LT spawn in Terra Volta which is easily farmed but can be made into a level 1-50 burn by using custom NPCs.

I think your missing the point. You don't get xp for the things the Rikti Comm Officer spawns. You get xp equivalant to an LT when you kill one, but they are minions.

Further, only one rikti comm officer in a group can open a portal and summon, and it's interuptable. Change it so they all open portals at the same time and make it uninteruptable, and I'm pretty sure people won't be using them anymore.

There are maps that spawn groups already in burn piles. the only thing that making an all melee creature good is they auto herd.

Give them range, and we just return the having to herd.

My mission arc is called "A Day on the Farm"

He wants to force every spawn of NPCs in Mission Architect missions to have at least one NPC with ranged attacks, and disallow "custom enemy groups" which import only a single NPC that summons more NPCs, like the Rikti Comm Officers.

This is to stop there from being extremely large numbers of NPCs which can be hit with Immobilize and then destroyed from range with no risk.

(Given how successful demon farmers have been, I'm not so sure forcing NPCs to only have at least one ranged attack would make much of a difference. I think making custom NPCs have a third mandatory power pick, essentially twenty varieties of EPP With Ranged Attack, might be a bit more effective... but only a bit.)

/unsigned. I don't feel its a problem, therefore no need to fix it.

I would. That would be AMAZING! And I'd make ambushes of minions with gang war.

So I support letting the comm officers spawn multiple portals because it would deter the exploit and increase the AWESOME.

A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

I would, because my primary means of mitigation is mez. Held enemies don't open portals. And my opening power is generally Seeds of Confusion. It would be so worth it to confuse a whole spawn and watch them all open portals which belong to me and are summoning guys that are killing on my behalf.

Besides that, the game would never allow 15 badguys to summon 15 portals which all start summoning more guys. Even if it did, the AoEs that farm teams pack would mop up all the guys anyway.

Honestly, it's way too late in the ball game to be concerned about player exploitation. This game has a long history of it and hand-wringing management who just don't know what to do to stop the exploits.

MA has convinced me that the developers now accept farming/exploiting and are just trying to roll with it. Once upon a time, farming was done in PI - now it's in every zone and it's pretty much all that's going on. Don't like farms? Don't play this game.

Too bad we can't choose the powers of enemies spawned by gang war, and give them ... gang war. Who cares if summoned enemies don't give XP, that would be awesome beyond belief.
