THE PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS and THE ROGUE KNIGHTS [u]est. January 2005[u]
The Knights are now looking for brave heroes of all levels and archetypes. We currently have 11 super groups on the Virtue server. We are very active in all aspects of the game and have been nominated by the players of City of Heroes across all servers as one of the [u]Favorite Supergroups of 2006[u]! The Knights pride themselves with having a mature and fun group with some of the most accomplished players in the game. We have been in this game for over four years and have no plans of leaving.
[u]What we have to offer

<ul type="square">Teaming at all hours: The Knights are lucky to have a extremely large player base of about 250+ players. Within those numbers are players from around the world and many different time zones. This opens up the opportunity for players to find teams at odd times. Not just any team, but highly effective and fun Knight Teams!
Weekly Task/Strike Forces and Trials: The Knights have a great staff of leadership that is constantly checking with the membership to see what special task forces need to be posted on the calendar. It is not unusual on a weekend to see a half dozen or more TFs run in a day. If you need a specific task force it is highly likely it will done. Many of the Knights have done these so many times they can be completed in record time and efficiency.
Role-Playing: The Knights boast some of the finest RP found on this server. Monthly in-game role-playing events help players create custom story lines that they can play out both in-game and on the forums. The Capes and Cocktails RP forum thread is on its way to its third year of RP and has spawned many player run story arcs. Mission based RP is available for those interested and those that do not RP are respectful of those that do. The Knights have a designated global channel to help coordinate RP meet-ups and story creation.
Rewards!: The Knights hold many contests and programs for the membership to reward them for going above and beyond what is asked of them. The Oh, What a Knight or OWAK program has been well received. This titled is given to a Knight who has embodied the virtues of the group and has been both helpful and friendly to others. The recipient of this title is given a PK Collectible Coin. We also reward all characters who hit the one million prestige mark with a one of a kind commission from John Becaro. You can visit his site or ours and see several of the winners. Many other contests are held throughout the year!
Beyond the Game: The Knights are much more than your average super group, they are a network of people from all walks of life
they are a community. To be a Knight is to be a member of a fellowship of 250+ people who carry on a virtual friendship that often times extends beyond the confines of the internet. The Knights have banded together to purchase commissioned artwork and produce in-game movies among other things. Many friendships have been built that will only increase well beyond City of Heroes.[/list]

To apply to be a Knight you need to first visit www.paragonianknights.com. Take the time to check out what all the site has to offer. Many of your questions about the Knights can be answered there. After you have decided that you indeed do want to be part of the Knights, click Join Paragonian Knights at the top of the screen and answer the couple short questions. This will set you up with a Guild Portal account. Finally, post a application on the forums using the format provided. Be as in-depth as you desire. After that is done one of the officers will post and provide you with contact info. We currently only meet new applicants twice a week. These dates and times can be found on the Events page of our website. If you check the event you will see which officers are available during that time period.

<ul type="square">PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS
The Paragonian Knights is a role playing optional super group. The Knights are mostly comprises of mature adult players but we invite all ages to apply. We were formed around the ideal of having fun and forging lasting friendships. Play times for Knights cover many different time zones so it is not unusual to find a Knight on all times of the day. You must also remain somewhat active with that character that is on the main group as we require you to be active within 30 days. We are not a prestige oriented group but we do encourage the earning of it when possible.
2ND BATTALION
The Paragonian Knights 2nd Battalion is not an alt group for the PK main. The group boasts a fully stocked base and is in the Top 100 on the Virtue Server. The activity requirement for this SG is 45 days. The 2nd Battalion is, at times, just as active as the PK main.
SISTERHOOD OF PARAGONIAN KNIGHTS
To be a member of the Sisterhood of Paragonian Knights, one needs only be a female character and have a willingness to have a good time. The Sisterhood is based around fun and friendship above all else. At the time of this writing, you can have as many characters in this faction as you like. All players are welcome to apply for membership if they meet those criteria. The activity requirement for the Sisterhood is 60 days.
HONOR BATTALION
The Honor Battalion is our lite RP supergroup. All of the members of this group have characters in the other Knight super groups as well. The HB is role-played as a Special Operations branch of the Paragonian Knights. There are currently several RP storylines being played out in this group which are open to new players. The actvity requirement for this group is 90 days. You must be a member of the PK, 2nd Battalion or Sisterhood for one month before being considered for membership in this group.
THE GRAE ACADEMY
The Paragonian Knights - The Grae Academy or The Academy is for heavy Role-players only. All communication, unless indicated, is in-character. This group utilizes the supergroup channel to communicate across zone. There is no activity requirements for this group, however, all members must be RPed into the group with one of the Teachers or in rare caes the Student Body President. The actvity requirement for this group is 90 days. You must be a member of the PK, 2nd Battalion or Sisterhood for one month before being considered for membership in this group.
LEGENDS
The Paragonian Knight Legends are only for knights that have achieved security level 50 status in the City of Heroes. This faction is for the level 50 character that is retired and rarely played. There will be no base or activity requirement for this faction.
ELITES
The Paragonian Knight Elites are only for knights that have achieved security level 50 status in the City of Heroes. This is the more active level 50 group. The Elites have a raid capable base and participate in end-game content such as PvP and Raids. There is no activity requirement for this group but if capacity is met some will be removed or moved to the Legends roster.
To be a member of any of our Villain Groups, the player must first have a hero if the Knights.
ROGUE KNIGHTS
The Rogue Knights is the City of Villains branch of the Paragonian Knights. They operate under the same guidelines as the Paragonian Knights. Even though the group is comprised of villains, all members are expected to treat each other and other players with respect. All current Knights are automatically granted acceptance into the RK upon creating a new villain. The Rogue Knights has a 30 day activity requirement. The Rogue Knights are a Top 20 SG on Virtue.
KNIGHTMARES
The Rogue Knights Knightmares is the level 50 group for the Rogue Knights. To be a member the character must have hit level 50 and does not get as much play time as other alts. There is no activity requirement for this group.
TERROR LEGION
The Rogue Knights Terror Legion is our role-playing group on CoV. To become a member of the TL, a player must first be a member of one of our other supergroups. The Terror Legion is also the group we base our superteams. Currently we are running a all Soldiers of Arachnos superteam with other planned soon.[/list]

RP Level: Medium RP, SG and Coalition are of course IC channels. As are all supergroup teams. OOC chat prefaced accordingly please.
PvP Level: Little to none, though members do enjoy it at times.
Theme/Concept: You know Superman, and Statesman, and all those other Epic heroes? Yeah, we're not them. Though there are a few powerhouses on the roster, we're generally the other guys. We're the super spy, the streetwise heroine, the elves from another dimension, the ex-cons, and a few things that just don't seem to belong anywhere else but with each other.
Activity: We have 10 or so unique members, with many alts across all levels but with a general concentration in the mid levels(20-40). You're just as likely to find us on at any time of the day, with a leaning toward prime time hours. We do however have alts outside of the group, including on villain side. We're not the most populated SG you could join, so be forewarned.
Requirements for Membership: No level/activity requirement. We do ask that you try to make the monthly team up night which is generally the 4th Wednesday of the month, but even that is optional.

Coalition(s): Spectre's security division, under the name Aggravated Assault is currently attached by coalition. Functionally, it is the same group as the Starchasers, but gives an extra area to RP, and some options for "best fit."
Other Details: We have our monthly team up night. Beyond that we do try to schedule at least one TF a month, and usually end up with more in between. As of the last few months the Starchasers have entered into a sort of detente conflict with our villain side group, The Order of the Bloody Rose, with attacks made against Starchasers both by Order members, and associates. The option for cross faction conflict is something we'd love to have played out further so feel free to drop us a line.
Thinking of starting a Pirate Themed SG, but don't want to step on any toes, creatively speaking. Are there any such SG's currently here on my beloved Virtue?

Currently Recruiting: We are accepting new members and looking for other SGs interested in RP and/or Coalition
RP Level: RP-intensive, but we do have an OOC Channel and are pretty relaxed in general Chat as well at times.
PvP Level: Casual
Theme/Concept: This is an Adult Founded SG as opposed to the plethora of Child and Teen groups out there, so naturally we look to more Adult based themes and role-play. We like to be devoted to the story no matter how dramatic or even controversial the theme may be. We understand that everyone has a certain comfort level in themes and play, thus we do not require every member to participate in every story or scene. As an adult run group we do require tolerance for all levels of comfort in the RP, so if you demand tolerance for your toon or style then be prepared to give it when another player opts out of your circle.
MRP and EPR are welcome to the extent that they support the story or concept of the toon and are not disruptive or divisive to the SG as a whole or become an overbearing force. We are Super Heroes, not Heroine/Hero Peril.
Most importantly...have fun. We are paying to have fun!
Activity: Evenings USA CST/EST we are most active. Our players are from all over. Since we have just opened recruitment officially it is a little slow, but the players we have are on pretty much daily.
Requirements for Membership: We require a level of maturity in our players on an OOC level. We expect members to OOCly respect each other and agree to disagree instead of getting dramatic on issues. Straight ERP toons need not apply. We do not discourage relationships or adult themes, but toons that exist purely for sexual content and no depth otehrwise are not welcome.

Theme/Concept: We started this SG as a place for our friends and use to hang out being as most of use where in inactive SGs at the time. Since then, we've continued to recruit our friends and who ever else has shown an interest. We are very laidback, no theme, no meetings, no anything except teaming together and having a good time in SG chat.
Activity: We are active mostly at night after 6pm est and on the weekends though we do have some that are on during the day.

Theme/Concept: The Hideout is a sanctuary for the misunderstood and forgotten. We do what we have to in order to survive but don't forget we ARE heroes.
Activity: Right now we are fairly inactive. Just myself and Gelle the other leader. After starting up this SG we both took breaks from the game and now we are back to try and set it up into a respectable SG.
Requirments for membership: RP is a must and we take a no drama policy on it. We will not accept angsty anti-heroes who attack other members or generally cause trouble. We are really looking for the SG to be like a family. We also ask that you be 17+ years old because we are deal with serious themes now and again, NOT ERP, and we are not in the business of corrupting children.

Name: UNISON. The United Nations International Special Operations Network

RP Level: We consider ourselves Moderate RPers. Fitting the Special Ops theme is also something we encourage but in no way a requirement.
PvP Level: Some of us PvP, but not a requirement.
Theme/Concept: The United Nations International Special Operations Network focuses on threats to global security. Unlike Vanguard with its centralized hierarchy however, UNISON's strength comes from its network of operational cells, each working independently. Its agents are given a high degree of discretion when carrying out the organization's objectives, and often work independently or in small groups without oversight. Their UN mandate, called the 'UNISON Charter', gives them the authority to carry out their duty in any signing nation without the interference of local authorities, law enforcement, or governments. Much of their work is done in secret (OMEGA level clearance or higher), although the agency has been also been publicly recognized for thwarting several attempts at "world domination".
UNISON's official crest is a UN globe, surrounded by the famous words of US President Woodrow T. Wilson: There must not be a balance of power, but a community of power; not organized rivalries, but an organized peace. Interestingly, UNISON operatives have been observed greeting each other with the words: "Semper Vigilantes" (Ever Vigilante). Whether this second motto is an official one or something adopted by its members, is unknown. Their funding, internal hierarchy, and other details remain a mystery, although it is believed they have cells operating in most major cities.
Activity: We are about 20 members strong. Our leader is in the UK (as are a few others), but most of us are in North America. There's usually someone on during the day, but consider evenings to be our 'prime time'.
Requirements for Membership: There are no level requirements to join us and all are welcome. Our website is located at http://unison.zuild.net. We consider ourselves casual gamers with no heavy requirements for joining us as we're just here to have fun and enjoy each other's company.

Other Details: Its an exciting time for us. Our base is well established and still expanding (almost entirely stocked). When online we try hard to team up regardless of level for RP and missions. Building a close-knit group of online friends is an our number one goal and in the future we hope to have regular gatherings for task forces, PVP, and other events while RPing. Theme/Concept: The OmegaVerse is a 15-year old tabletop universe that I'm porting into CoH. This means that new toons [and newer players!] have an advantage over older ones. I have about 60 ready made characters for those who have alt-itis and have trouble creating charcters. I can e-mail the .costume files, builds and beginning bios, reserve the names of OmegaVerse characters that I find to be available, and pass the complete package including your new character's planned story arcs directly to you that will tie you in with other characters and with AE mission arcs we create.
Have trouble creating a character concept? Want to be part of a long running canon? This is the Super Group for you.
Activity: We have a core group of three thus far, so we are very new. Current level range of the members is 19-39. We are very alt-friendly, at least for now. 10 or so unique members, with many alts across all levels but with a general concentration in the mid levels(20-40). I personally am on most days from 6-8PM EST.
Requirements for Membership: Members are expected to engage in a roleplaying session once per week or so.
A full bio is required. If there is no bio, we'll help you write one.
Members are also expected to keep a numbered series of "issues" for their character's "book". These "issues" will contain the chatlog of that RP session. Thus, chatlogs must be enabled.
Also, each member is expected to create their own "origin" AE mission arc. Much assistance from all players in the SG will be granted for that. This mission can be unpublished and republished as needed, but should be available upon request.
No silly toon names are accepted, and no toon names with numerals or faked spellings (e.g.: capital I substituted for a lowercase L) except where that name can be backed up by the bio.

Currently Recruiting: Anyone who has a passion for Paragon City!
RP Level: Zero to Casual. Most Hero Dawn members don't RP, but that has never stopped us with teaming and working with people who like to RP.
PvP Level: Little to Casual. We have members who can be found in PvP zones often, and are preparing to assemble a tight raid team when the feature is fixed and released for CoH.
Theme/Concept: We have no real 'concept' except we are just a group of friendly, dedicated casual players who like to get the most out of the game by playing with other people of the same caliber!
Activity: Having around 141 members in the group we almost always have people in the SG doing things, and never mind to have people come along. Though most of the things we do are spontaneous we are always doing some form of Task Forces, SG member's Mission Architect Arcs, Rikti/Hamidon raid teams, etc. You can always find something to do between our SG and coalition friends. In addition, about every two months Hero Dawn strives to put on some of the very best player events/parties around.

Other Details: Hero Dawn is Virtue's #1 Hero Group. We accomplish this with our casual yet passionate attitude about the game. The leadership of Hero Dawn are veterans of the game who've been around for several years. We don't discriminate based on "theme" or concept of your character; we care about the player behind the keyboard. Youre not forced to attend meetings or events because we feel you should play at your pace and enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it. Our SG base is huge and expertly designed for maximum functionality and aesthetics that wows any who enter it (and subsequently get lost in it). Our Coalition is one of the tightest knit assemblies of Super groups on the server, and as such any member of our coalition is considered a de facto member of our super group. Name: Fortune's Five
Currently Recruiting: Looking for other players/SGs interested in RP.
RP Level: RP-friendly/intensive. SG chat is usually used for OOC conversations, but during missions, everyone stays in character in team chat.
PvP Level: None established yet
Theme/Concept: Fortune's Five was established by five heroes that were seemingly brought together by fate, and who have survived numerous tough scrapes through unusually good fortune.
Activity: Currently have five active members, but despite our name, we are looking to expand. Our prime teaming time is Tuesdays at 8:30 PM ET, but we often play at 6 PM ET on Sundays as well. As more members join, we may add more team times.
Requirements for Membership: Original members of Fortune's Five are between levels 21 and 23 as of this writing (6/9/09), but we will accept members of all levels. This is an RP SG, so if you don't like to RP, this probably isn't the group for you. As mentioned above, SG chat is used for both in- and OOC communication, team chat is in-character.

Other Details: We do our best to keep the original five members pretty close together in level, and we mainly run story arcs - Hollows, Faultline, etc. During these arcs we do our best to keep each member's mission the same so everyone on the team gets the merits. We occasionally run radio missions to get the safeguard temp powers, but we concentrate more on story-driven content. Will eventually begin running TFs as members' time allows.

RP Level: Mid-to-Heavy, but are RP newbie friendly.

Theme: The Global Defenders are an international strike force inspired by the Avengers and the Justice League of America. We are Golden/Silver/Bronze Age type spandex superteam.
Activity: Our SG will probably remain small, so that the members develop good relationships with one another. We may expand to no more than 30-35. Our members are usually on during the evenings and nights.
Membership requirements: The requirements for membership are simple. You must be a spandex/armor superhero with a Golden/Silver/Bronze Age of comics feel. We also like to see the names of your creations spelled correctly. No Sooperman, or Spiedr-Man. Nor do we recruit killers, thugs, emo kids, or psychopaths.

Theme/Concept: The Sphere is a collective being embodied by its parts(Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Light, Darkness, Life, Death). It has been here since the dawn of time. Due to an imbalance in the universe the Sphere has been broken into it's parts in order to spread out and restore balance in this ever growing chaotic place. Earth is the leader of the Sphere and when various parts of the Sphere are together and working in harmony they are an unstopable force, yet all the parts of the Sphere are forces to be reckoned with on their own. The Sphere was sent here to help the beings of this place. After they gain mastery of this realms parameters they will keep it intact, until the Sphere is called to rejoin as one. People of Paragon, if you need assistance you may always call on the Sphere to assist you.
Activity: We have weekly meetings usually on Sunday afternoons, and their are only 8 elements(Members) of the Sphere. Various members of our SG are leaders in other areas of the game ie. leading Hami Raids, MoSTF runs and various other events.
Requirements for Membership: Specific naming, Specific Origin, Specific Powersets, SG uniform, and available for at least 1 day a week to run with the SG.

Currently Recruiting: We are currently recruiting actively. Heroes who would like to try their hand at base-building, or members from other SGs who are tired of not being able to control how their prestige goes to use. Newbie friendly.
RP Level: RP-friendly, but not required.

Theme/Concept: We operate on a wikipedia-style basis. All the members get to edit the base. Members are expected to earn prestige and help recruit to help fund the base. This way, each member controls how their prestige is spent, rather than rely on some leader to build the base.
Activity: We are quite new and have 5 members so far, but are growing and actively recruiting.
Requirements for Membership: must be at least level #, out-of-game communication on guild forums (please also list URL forums if different from website), no alts in other SGs, no villains on Virtue, daily log-in, etc.

Name: Imperium of Man (a Warhammer 40K themed SG)
Currently Recruiting: Accepting new members, all classes / all levels

Theme/Concept: Imperium of Man is a new super group based upon, and patterned after, the Warhammer 40K universe. All Imperium related characters are available for play; Imperial Guard Units, Space Marines, Sisters of Battle, the Inquisition, etc.
Activity: As this is a new super group, membership is currently only a few founding members. However, we are looking for more players who enjoy the Warhammer 40K theme and universe to help us build the super group. Active play times vary by day and work schedule; nevertheless members are active in-game daily.
Requirements for Membership: The only requirement is that your character fit into the Warhammer 40K theme and have a back story explaining any unusual abilities they possess (i.e. no heretics, aliens, mutants (as it relates to WH40k, not the CoH origin type))

Other Details: The Warhammer 40K universe offers an amazing amount of depth and potential for character development and roleplay. The Imperium of Man is a super group that is as open as you want it to be set in that universe. Any background is viable for you character insomuch that they fit within the Imperial forces. Hulking, armor-clad Space Marines of any chapter; haggard veteran Imperial Guard soldiers, officers, or commissars; pious and holy Sisters of Battle; stealthy and deadly Imperial assassins; Imperial Inquisitors hunting and destroying the enemies of the Emperor, both within and outside of the Imperium. The sky is the limit; design a character that fits one of these backgrounds or create one all your own. We cant wait to see what you come up with.
