As you can see, No purples, i cut and paste this directly from my reward window.

I crashed a cadillac through the gates of hell and returned with a fistfull of dollars.

Then again, on Christmas Eve I got an Armageddon proc and a Hecatomb proc less than an hour apart, so your mileage may vary.

I can actually attest to this as a documented pattern in the RNG.

Purples come in bunches.

More often than not, while solo farming, I get two purples in a run than none.

Also, in my vg, i used to listen for people getting purples before starting solo farms, and more often than not, i got a purple drop or two after hearing someone say they got one.

You can earn them from merits, I recieved a Apoc Chance for dmg (lethal IIRC) from the 46-50 Random Trial Reward.

Nothing like a cool 100mil to beef up my NW

Does lying on a message board make you feel good?

Well to be fair he could have had it drop for him some time before and not noticed it until he took a random merit roll.

I agree with this I never notice when a purple drops i just open my recipies to check every now and then and see it. If you didn't know you couldn't get them via the merit system you may think it came from a random roll.

I remember running missions right when purple recipes got introduced, and getting a purple drop off of something that popular logic said shouldn't drop a purple (a L49 mob maybe? I don't really remember). A doubter requested a screenshot, so I duly started another mission with the same parameters, the first mob in which duly dropped a purple for me to document.

Thus, clearly, the best way to get a purple drop is for people to demand screenshots of your activities.

That must be why I've never gotten one. I need to start making outrageous claims so people will demand proof.

Ok you know how some restaurants have those pairs of swinging doors leading into the kitchen, one marked "Out" and the other marked "In"? Well...

<.<

this one time....I went out the "In" door.

I know I'm so bad.

Can purples drop from mobs in dev choice AE missions assuming they are of appropriate level?

Yes. Dev choice missions get the exact same drops as a regular mission environment.

I haven't been able to find out any information about this, but can you use your tickets on the random rolls and get a purple or does this fall into the same category as merit rolls?

As I understand it, Purples can never drop from spending tickets or merits. You can only get them for defeating lvl 50+ enemies. (what the drop rate is--I don't know--expect it's low)

Actually, I think it's lvl 47+ mobs (that can drop lvl 50 recpies) isn't it?

edit: looking back I see this was already mentioned anyway.

Grav/Kin lvl 50 Cont, Fire/Enegry lvl 50 Blast

This might be what you are looking for in regards to exact numbers.

Pool A According to Positron, the drop rates for Pool A (enemy) drops are:

Enemy Rate
Minion 2.666667%
Lieutenant/Sniper 5.333333%
Boss/Elite Boss 7.999999%
Archvillain either 100% or 0%, depending on the AV

Giant Monsters do not drop Recipes (but can drop Salvage). Underlings do not drop either.

When a Pool A recipe does drop, the Common:Uncommon:Rare ratio is: 32:8:1 (so Common is 78.05%, Uncommon is 19.51%, and Rare is 2.44%). (Again, from Positron)

This info is found at Recipe Information
