Whats your favorate published comic art style??
I'm a big fan of Image and Top Cow. Don't have any particular artists or writers, really, I don't pay as close attention as I should, I suppose.
Of course, I grew up on radically different 'comics' than most... Underground and Zap! Comics, Fabulus Furry Freak Brothers, Heavy Metal magazine, et cetera.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
My favorite comic artist is definitely Chris Bachalo. He's a big influence on my style.
As far as manga, I also really really love anything CLAMP. So flowy....
I mostly grew up reading Marvel, and manga so Marc Silvestri, Jim Lee, Adam Warren, Fred Perry, Rumiko Takahashi, and these days Olivier Copiel, Terry Dodson, Chris Bachalo, Joe Mad.
I'm also liking Ariel Olivetti(Cable), Paco Medina(Deadpool), and Ed Benes and Art Ross even though I don't read much from DC.
I really like some of the digital coloring these days. Way better than the stuff even a decade ago.
Sometimes the coloring has even made me like some pencillers more. Like when Salvador Larroca was colored by Liquid in the X-treme X-men series, I loved it, but I found I didn't like his other stuff nearly as much with other Inkers/colorists.
Dave Stevens. Wendy Pini's Elfquest (our own Brandon McKinney being one of the only other artists whose work on EQ I enjoyed). Colleen Doran. Linda Medley.
As for iconic art styles I'd have to say the great Jack Kirby.

Favorite artists in the CoH side of things are DN and Brandon McKinney. Old skool artists like Kevin Knowlan, Gene Colan, and Alan Kupperburg are awesome too.
The crop of pinoy artists that have been breaking into mainstream comics is pretty amazing too. Leinil Yu, Stephen Segovia, Francis Manapul, and Lan Medina all rock.
I just recently finished Madame Mirage and Rocafort's art is amazing too.
Jack "the King" Kirby!
Too many to name... and while I consider myself very old school in some tastes, I LOVE digital coloring over the older traditional looks. But then again nothing beats really amazing pencils and or ink work. I also love that Korean Anime look, so yeah too many to name.
Comics just rule! The always will... one time and perhaps somewhere still today, it was considered you were kind of stupid to be reading them, now they're in all the major book chains, and graphic novels to me are a great way of "recollecting" older comics all inclusive.
I do believe several states have their own schools to learn, I know even my college back in 86-87 had elective classes. Look at the top blockbusters of recent years. Today, if your comic is selling, you could lock down a movie deal, a video game deal AND tons of convention time. Okay what was the question again?
Alan Davis, Art Adams, and early Joe Mad.
Also Al Hirshfield and Norman Rockwell.

In LJ's statement, for me though it's not too many to name, it's just I have a broad range of art styles I like. Styles from Marc Silvistri and Jim Lee down to the guy who came up with the Tony the Tiger cereal character for frosted flakes. If it's something that appeals to me, it's good, they don't have to be high paid, reknown or famous. Just put something out there with a lot of effort behind it.
Unless that is wrong of me to think that artist don't do or feel that way about the stuff they create then it should all just be burned and crushed.
I love these artist and people who created most of the best comics in the world and the names go as followed.
Stan Lee, Jim Lee, Jack Kirby, Michael Turner, & Seth McFarlane
Does anyone remember the days when Jim Starlin was doing his run on Marvel's "Captain Marvel"? The Thanos/Cosmic Cube arc? Now those were some glory days!
Jack Kirby doing "The Demon" and "Mister Miracle" for DC.
Jim Steranko doing "Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D."
Wally Wood when he would do some of the old "T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents" stories (Dynamo, Menthor, Noman, etc.)
American-style comics: Jim Lee and Ian Churchill.
Manga: Masamune Shirow, and Yukito Kishiro.
For me, it's always been jack Kirby! Icon and truly the King! I've been a fan of Alex Ross, George Perez, John Buscema, Curt Swan, Adam Hughes, Jim Lee, Mike McKone, Paul Pelletier, Alex Toth (love his design style "Space Ghost FTW!!"), Mark Bagley, Dave Cockrum, John Romita Sr., Steve Ditko, Don Heck, Jerry Ordway, Gary Frank (see Action Comics recently, and you'll be a fan too!)... The list is long and I'm sure that I've missed a few more... But you get the point... I'm a sucker for the classic styles.
Most of today's "superstars" better take a long look and thank those who've come before em.
Just my two cents...

I don't take as much time to memorize artist names as much as I probably should. >.>
I do know, however, that I'm a big fan of David Nakayama, Todd Nauck, and Kevin Lau, though. Both have produced some very nice artwork, and I'm definately a fan of the styles.
Masashi Kishimoto, also, is a personal favorite... if just because I like some of the outfits he's come up with. And the overall style.
...I should probably make it more of a point to keep track of which artists I actually like.
Strange .. noone has yet mentioned Neal Adams. I've always loved his Batman & Superman.
Manga or Marvel?... Darkhorse or DC? ...
personally I love Todd Mcfarlane, Adam Warren, Scott Campbell, as well as Rumiko Takahashi and Kōsuke Fujishima??
course theres still Chris Lee.. and pretty much anyone in Image or Madcow comics..
