Quiet bad builder of bad doms
I just want to make the OP aware that multiple achile heel procs are not a good idea. They do not stack from the same caster. The only instance I can get them to stack is with my ninja mastermind, I have one slotted in the jonin and one in my poison debuff. Since the pet counts as a seperate source you can actually tripple stack it with 2 jonin pets and poison debuff. For a dominator I would just put it in a low damage fast recharging attack and thats it.

Talen, Just a quick question.. how are you getting 73.8% recharge on your Fire/Fire./. the most I've been able to squeeze out on paper is 67.5%, just enough to go with 6-slotted hasten. That includes:
Basilisk's in Char and Cinders
Obliteration's in Hotfeet & Combustion, and a Efficiancy in Consume
Posi in Fire Breath
Kinetic Crash in Bonfire
Decimations in Fire Blast & Blaze
and a Crushing Impact in Incinerate.
where are you getting the extra 6%.. I just can't see it. What Patron did you take?

The notes I found indicated that all pets will take 'em. I could be wrong, this is talking about beta stuff.

I just checked test. Yes, you can socket Dominator pets with recharge-intensive pet sets.
Also: Gaze of the Basilisk is all rares. Pool B, it seems, all the pieces worth 125-150. Note that a single LOTG is worth 200 merits. This suggests to me that while I love Gaze to pieces, it won't really be as big a cornerstone to the future builds of Dominators as I thought. You could get 4 pieces of Basilisk for 400-500 merits, or you can get a pair of LOTGs for that.
Basically, all the new sets that amp recharge are rare and sell for 100-ish merits apiece. Hopefully, the market will not undergo too hard a conniption fit and these things will be available on the market, but ultiumately, it looks like lotgs - at 200 merits each - are the gold standard for permadom.

So, I was wondering, was there a particular reason for picking Electrical Assault? Does it take better sets overall, or is it just personal preference?
I wanna make a Mind Dom, but Already have a /electro Dominator.. and for some reason, I don't like repeating a powerset I have on an existing character.

[/ QUOTE ]No, it's just a great assault set that I haven't played. Mind/elec's a good build, so I thought I'd have a look and see what I could wind up with. The result was astounding.
Mind/NRG is still going to likely be king for 'cheap permadom', but that would involve playing /nrg, something I recommend people avoid.

[/ QUOTE ] Ooh, yeah. I was going to make one of those at one point (without permadom in mind, even), but I realized that: Energy Assault does like 25% less damage than the others, and more importantly, DOESNT HAVE ENERGY TORRENT!

So I'm thinking either Mind/Ice or Mind/Thorn. Leaning towards ice.
/Thorn's redraw is pretty ordinary, especially if you're not pairing it wht a long-lasting control set. Mind/ is a bit too hop-around for /thorn to go too well, in my opinion... plant/, you fire one control and kinda ignore the primary after that point.

Ya gotta think that at least some of that price is simply due to the newness factor. Im thinking they'll come down a bit once the supply reaches a point similar to other like sets. 100+ per IO seems quite excessive.

pre-I13 i didnt even bother lookin into the new sets.
after reading the original post on monday, all day long i was hoping my bid of $143 mill for a lvl 25 LotG i had put in the night before wasn't going to go thru. and lucky me it didn't.
i was able to cancel that bid and use that inf to buy 8 total recipes of expedient enforcements to slot my imps and guardian. plus 5 recipes for obliteration
so thanks to you, i've added 17.5% recharge
don't think im gonna go with the basilik's gaze set though. im happy with ghost widows embrace for the hold+ the sets proc
its not a complete "im in love with my build"...yet. but its much better than it was pre-I13 (thats mostly due to my own misuse and ignorance of the "rule of 5" 
)
