BTW, gentlemen, as part of my workshop, I will be recognizing the many and varied contributions of the CoX videographers. I'll be distributing a handout/packet with lots of useful info and references, and will be including stuff like links to:

LOL, mainly congratulating you for stepping up and offering as well as getting the chance to do it. but also congratulating/impressed with NCsoft for acknowledging a good idea and opportunity and having the guts to let you simply "do your thing" without being overly worried about not having total control over it.

A lot in the same way that they responded to the I13 (now 14) question about the leveling pact being an easy target for PL companies. They said basically, and I'll paraphrase, "Yes there is the danger of some people misusing the feature but because we feel it will make the game better for a large percentage of our players we're going to add it."

I know to many the above sounds like not a hard decision but I'll tell you, there are a ton of other "unnnamed" companies that let the threat of a good idea being misused by 2% of the game population kill the idea for the rest of the 98%.

So appaudes all around.

I always seem to learn better from a presentation like this so I'm looking forward to seeing anything that might be posted from this.

I13 beta? Pah. We've already read it all. What are they supposed to show? Are you really interested in seeing where the button is that switches between one build and another? Do you just HAVE to see the dialog box they used for linked xp right NOW, even though you aren't going to see it in game for a month at least??

Or would you rather go see DR show you all new stuff that you can use IMMEDIATELY?

Come on, the choice is obvious. Particularly if DR serves cake instead of just cookies.

I won't be surprised if they are only doing one workshop at a time.

I guess that'll depend on a) how many workshops there are, and b) how much time over the course of the day they want to devote to it!
