Dark_Respite presenting on videos at HeroCon!!

Okay - the Ko is home from work now.

The first workshop went well - about 20-25 people showed up, and it went reasonably smoothly, although we did hit "Technical difficulties" about halfway through when the projector crapped out, and the videocamera we were using to record the event went wonky. Grrrrrrrr. But I suspected that the Mission Architect panel would steal away a very large chunk of my potential audience. *sigh*

The second workshop, however, went FAR better. First of all, it was standing room only. The Dell sponsored gaming room had 40 computers - we filled all forty plus had another 30-40 people standing there and more people going, "Damn!" and leaving. PACKED. This time, no technical problems, and quite a few laughs were had during the presentation.

I was EXHAUSTED after that (still not quite up to par, haven't been sleeping well and the meds are still trying to stabilize me), so I didn't take part in the Live Mission event (although I did hang out in the courtyard with Niviene and handed out 'speed boost brownies').

Quite a few of the rednames were disappointed they could not make my panels, but oh, well... they can always invite me to Mountain View and I'll give a personal seminar.

The handout from the 'con will be going up on my site later this evening, and at some point, I need to hook up with PlasmaWarrior and figure out how to convert the videotape to footage I can upload (I also need to send it to Ex and company to make sure I'm allowed to post it!).

And oh yes... one more thing. Thanks to the coolness that is Ex Libris, I was able to debut my I-13 teaser at the Pocket D event Saturday night, to much cheers and applause and raucous appreciation of the video's dark side. (The link is in the Fan Videos thread, look for my most recent post.)

i watched ur new trailer a little while ago (i have ur site bookmarked lol) and i must say it looks great wish i could have been at hero-con but like many others im on the east coast so im looking forward to seeing the video of ur presentation and reading the handout that u upload and gratz on ur full house work shop

I would have found it hard to stay away from the Mission Architect panel, too. Gotta ask them if demo recordings will work inside them, after all.

Sounds like it went really really well! I would go on about that more, but I want to see your I13 bit!

I didn't turn them away (hell, I did everything I could to get them to show UP!), but they were all busy with other panels.

Ohhh, they just couldn't get there because of another panel. I thought the room was so full they couldn't get in!

Sounds like it went very well - I wish I could have been there!
