Wassy can has arts
I concur with the highlights and color usage assesment. The little background is just enough to make her pop out and the coloring style plus the inking details makes her look very comic-booky.
Highlights on the wings and the hair are my favorite parts. And the white details on her er...wrist...thingys (dunno what they're officially called). You can't really see those that well in the scan though, unfortunately.
ENVIOUS! I wish I could afford markers .
Brilliant usage of them by the way im sure it looks even better in the flesh
I couldn't afford them for quite a while... took a few months for me to squirrel away the cash. But since I've started using them... they are well worth it. They blend so much nicer than the Prismacolor markers I've used in the past. And the color variety is astounding.
And yeah, they look better in person. Such is the way with trying to show anything done in traditional media online.
*drags thread back up again* Here's a commish I finished today. Might have another piece done tomorrow, and then hopefully a third done next weekend.
Attaining Destiny
In other news, I'm whipping Frost into re-designing my website for me, and I think I'm going to do a hold on commissions during July because I really want to do some freebies and experimentations for all you lovely little duckies.
Gorgeous work. I really like the concept.
very nice Wassy! the way you made the expressions and concept is very well done.

Slag Heap: Why you hurt Guardian!? Guardian no hurt you!
Really like the composition of this one. It has a very natural flow to it. And I love the glow around the characters/the earth.
Excellent piece.
Very nice, Wassy!
OK, I was a day off in my finishing estimation.
Frisky Frosts
In related news, I got a new scanner a week or so ago. This actually looks mostly like it does in person!!!
Ooooooohhhh! Really love how they came out. Especially how the lighting highlights came out. Really adds a lot to the piece, especially in Frost's hair (the one wearing white). Awesome outfits, great setting...
And I definitely share in your interpretation of the piece...
I love it
Well, you would share my interpretation because we seem to be sharing the same brain sometimes. But I figured it could also look like they were... uh... about to do long division?
OK, so maybe there's not many ways to interpret it... ^.^;;
Wait, they're about to do math?
...
OH! I see what you mean *wink wink*
Aw man! I think I was out sick that day in math class...
I miss all the good stuff.
I love math *Sigh*
Awesome stuff as usual wassy! so much detail in the background! the whole thing gives of a Mathamatical vibe
Here's a commission I did as a give-away in honor of my site becoming one year old. It was done for Dark Kerse, and I have to say that this character was really a gift to me to work on!
Grim Rayvyn
Definitely one of my top favorites of yours. I love seeing this darker side of your work.
...Wowsers.
My brain totally shut off for a bit there.
Brilliant work, Wassy!
Wow. That is a striking image.
That is disturbing and sexy and altogether yummy.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
Yay you made my rather "bleh" night a lot better Wassy!
Grimmy turned out veeeeeeeeeeeeery nicely! That's exactly how I imagined her when she was locked up in Blackheart's Asylum and I wuv the color scheme.
Sankyuuuuu for capturing her smexy madness and Kerseface for having it commissioned to begin with. I'm glad that you enjoyed working on it, cause i was kinda nervous that you'd be like "Grim's too freaky" lol.
Love this piece. Probably the darkest one you've done, but I think that's why I love it. The lighting super dramatic and having the perspective slightly tilted really enhances it.
:P i don't think any of my cheery "cools" or "nices" are appropriate for such a piece. So much as to say I like it and have been inspired by it.
Roxy On DA...Finally!
whoa..... damn... that's like... wow..... Wassy you really outdid yourself on this one.... holy.... did I saw wow already? wow..... the pose and the details, and the lighting.... fantastic

whoa.. highlights and color usage are awesome Wassy. I'm always amazed how when people use Copics really well. I started paying more attention to these when David Nakayama mentioned using them.
