I came to the decision a little bit back that I really should let the local artists post their works in their own threads... It's you guys (and gals) who deserve the right to brag over the great arts you do, all I do is provide a bit of incentive for ya's to use my characters in them 
As I said in email, I absolutely love this! It's amazing all around... The pose is great, the face beautiful, the detail superb... And overall the piece totally captures that whole "Studying sucks - I'd rather go and and just punch the bad guys than have to look up some silly spell to defeat them" kind of attitude I was hoping for!

That is beautiful Wassy.
Love the (studying is teh sux!) expression on her face and her bare feet are especially well done.
Good attention to detail with the clover on her hat and even speckled fur on her Bolero.
My only question is what the thing is near her feet... kinda looks like a wood duck carving with a grinning pumpkin (Fir Bolg?) head and piece of paper sticking out?

But to answer your questions - Them's her boots, you doofus!
C'mon... A gal kills herself to look fashionable even while fighting crime by wearing high heeled boots and when she fnally gets a chance to take them off (and put herself through a different kind of torture) you expect her to put them away neatly?? She obviously just kicked off her boots and plunked down to crack open the books!
But yeah... The one mostly off screen... Heh, that does totally have a pumpkin face shaded in there!
Still cannot even make myself see how the other looks like a wood duck.. Though I suppose I can see how the upper boot could be mistaken for paper... by a doofus.

Now that you say boot yeah I can totally see it. I guess for me the part that is laying flat (the "paper")
if it was to be the whole cuff should be rounded like a tube not laying flat and if that is only one half of it
(a split zip down boot) and the other half is the part falling off-screen then a zipper or a seam to show it
had been "zipped in half" would make it instantly recognizable to me as a bootleg.

I made it flat because, being a female who owns a pair of long skin-tight boots, the kind of boot those witch ones strike me as is the kind that is very stretchy and thin, to really hug those curves. That material shrinks up and doesn't hold any shape when there's no leg in it =D
I can see how it can totally be miss-read as paper though. So that's my bad. I do have to agree that you're smoking something pretty good to see a wooden duck. Share!

Ignore the wheels and the fact that the tail swoops up (it's the closest ducky I could find on short notice
) as many do not have wheels and the tail goes straight back. Look at the shape of the head, the thin post shaped neck, the
round lug securing the wing, the wing shape and the tail shape... can ya duck me now? Good!

Seeing the toy duck next to the part of the image you mean I suppose I can see how one could make the connection... But I think it's a big ole leap.
But then again, some people are better on drugs than not
