Bayani has a way of motivating me to get stuff for myself done (I generally don't artistically dote on myself and will do things for other people over my own characters), and I've been meaning to do a Neurotika model sheet for a very long time. So... he got on my case and I did it!

This is my simple inking over my pencils. Eddy Swan shall be taking care of the colors after I throw on some flats.

Oh she is so cute. I adore the inactive pose

Ya... she's under mind control, so when she's inactivated, she's a puppet without a puppeteer. Dollhouse totally stole my character design, and I should have words with Joss Whedon =P

I'll have a whole bio thingie up when the colored version is done.

I have to know how you do your inks mine look rough...read awful.

Adobe Illustrator and some custom brushes set to specific auto-correct settings. And a tablet.

Paint.net and a mouse just aint gonna cut it.

on a side note Awesome work ( as usual) she's very nice.

I was SO thinking dollhouse when I first saw this but assumed this predated the show... You should definitely look into getting some royalties at least

fantastic job, can't wait to see it after it gets the swanzariffic colorizing treatment.

My question is - do you talented art people prefer these kind of model sheets over either ones made from screenshots or just galleries of pics?

Neurotika was born during the City of Villains beta.... so she does pre-date Dollhouse by a while, yes. I so need to send Joss Whedon a passive-aggressive note =P

And the model sheets are really nice because, honestly, its very easy to screw up the screenshots from the game. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go into the costume creator myself and re-create a costume for a commission because I just couldn't see the detailing in the screenshots given.

They're also good for getting across any small changes you want from what's available in the creator. The back of Neurotika's costume is different from what can be attained in the game, as are the toes of her boots.

Sure, but how am I supposed to get model sheets if people can't read my screenshots, huh Smartypants??

Maybe I'll draw my own. Stick figure model sheets!

You hire an art goddess who can log into CoH and recreate your costume so they can see exactly what they need.

I actually have a little list of "Quirks that the game can't replicate" for two of my three characters that I mention whenever hiring an artist... I suppose an accurate reference sheet would be easier... And keep me from forgetting parts of the list!

I guess it is sort of a catch-22 =P
