Oh... they did not put a description with my entry for some reason. Darn!

What! Star Dancer's video did not get selected? I am very surprised. It had a great comic flair and some of the best funny bits of any of the entries! I had pegged it personaly as one of the top 5. Actually there were quite a few good entries I felt were better than mine that were not selected either.

The one that I was actually surprised did not make the top 5 was "The Return of the Revenge of Dr. Mechanico" - I laughed so hard during that I nearly choked. Of course, like with mine, Mechanico was ALREADY in touch with his dark side, but still...

The ONLY reason I can think of that Mr. Mechanico wouldn't have made it in would have been the rules (cause it was funny, and well done). But that's just a guess. There were a number of sound effects and music that came from external sources and it was made by a whole team of people (and possibly that didn't get approved beforehand). There was a director, several in-game actors, voice actors, a visual effects person etc. It was a whole professional squad of people.

Check our their site though for bios and a lot of good info on Machinima www.stonefalconproductions. Pretty interesting stuff.

It was too well done to just 'not make it' (IMHO).

LOL, thanks for comparing me to a whole team of people, I'll take it as a compliment. But I did pretty much everything, except that a few friends did voices (I know my limitations :P) and a couple people helped puppeteer some characters in-game. I - wrote, directed, capped, after-effects'ed, video and sound edited, and created/played music for the whole darn thing. Granted some of the music was stuff I had written awhile ago, but I ran out of time at the end :P I did get everyone to sign release forms and all that, stating that I was the only entrant even if they helped a little. Oh well. Congrats to the finalists BTW!

Well heck, if you got all the forms in and etc then I dunno what's up. I was just trying to put some logic to it. (granted, not that that always applies...)

And with the team, I was just going off your credits in the credited version.

Very impressive stuff and a lot of good information on your site. I watched the documentary and I'm sure I'll be keeping an eye on it for more stuff.

You should take it as a complement, Falcon! Both "Mechanico" episodes are among the top level of CoX Animation ever. Quick, economical movements with humor, pacing, and a story. What's not to like?

Yes, I too vote "moar nao" of the Dr. Mechanico.

And damn it all, whoever wins, there had BETTER be a FULL ARTICLE on him/her in the City Scoop (might have to be the following Friday's Scoop, but still)! They DESERVE it!

Eh, that's not how I am. Way too many other things to pay attention to at the moment (plenty of them not good, which explains why I haven't been very active here) than something I have no way to influence the outcome of, much less at this point.
