I'll be headed to the Austin Game Dev conference in Sept and possibly the Wizard World Dallas (whenever that is...it just depends on how proud they are of their tickets this year).

I've given up trying to watch all the videos. I'm tired of all these overloud matrix ads spamming me before and after every showing.
This contest has only ensured that I would never consider owning a matrix.

I've not seen a single one of these ads. Every movie I view has no ad...maybe it's because I'm logged in?

Nope, I'm logged in and I see the ads before each one. I just ignore them by scrolling down and seeing how their votes and comments are doing while waiting for the ad to finish.

Just kidding! I love my car. His name is Bob and he's a cranky old man car.

We are currently shopping for a replacement for our old car, which was totaled after being rear-ended by an idiot. So, the Matrix would be most welcome.

Wow, a LOT of torpedoing going on today. It seems like most ratings have dropped sharply. I got a batch of three 1's in a row (most likely the same guy).

I'm so glad public voting is not the deciding factor.

I wonder what my rating would be if I had voted 10 instead of 5 considering it is right now at 4.4.

Well it looks like somebody's been busy tonight. The torpedoing continues...interesting enough only one movie seems to be moving upwards....and quite a bit in the past 24 hours.

Seems one movie, (that was previously below 7 until today) is now 7 and climbing.

...I'm just sayin'...

...and that's just sad...I mean really.

Ok, on to non-naval topics. I've been stuck creatively and decided to do something just for fun.

Sooooo, here's my take on the ONLY guy I can see truely playing 8 Baller in a live action movie. If "Infinite Dark" were a real movie....here's the desktop.

Yeah, I know...pointless, but it was a lot of fun.

I'm not even looking at the gametrailers site. After the first round of comments I decided it wasn't worth the headache. I'm waiting 'til the finalists are announced to set my foot in there again.

Yep, I think the nay-sayers are pulling out all the stops. More negative comments showed up on mine again this evening.

I think, however, I learned a valuable lesson from this experience, even if I don't win.

I care more about the opinions of the people who hang out in this forum than I do about the rank and file folks who comment on the GT site because I know that the folks here:

a) can put their money where their mouths are
b) have no qualms about being honest no matter WHOSE video it is (ie, they're not going to say one of my videos is awesome just because I was the one who made it - if it sucks, they'll tell me)
c) are willing to make suggestions on how to improve it, instead of just pointing out all its flaws

So... yeah. While it'd be nice if the folks who hang out on the GT site were to like my video, I know that the videographers here whose work *I* admire are the videographers whose opinions actually mean something.

And no, that's not me kissing anyone's a**, it's just the honest truth.
