I love Harley Quinn! I think you captured her attitude perfectly. The setting is just awesome. Really good lighting, too.

That is awesome!
Luvs me some Harley Quinn.

And still really great! The scene itself is beautifully conceived. I would only pick two nits: Her shoes--look more like those house slipper boot things they sell at Carol Wright rather than the elfish jester boots she normally wears, and, this is perceptual, she's a bit too tall and trim for my vision of Harley--I see her as a little more stout and zoftig. However, she's still great looking here and the costume, make-up, guns and as I said before, the scene itself is pure homicidal poetry.

Thats the stuff Doug!! Excellent piece!

I have to agree with Juggy that sometimes you seem to be skimpy on the post work but this does look awesome. I love your daughters idea for the batman doll in the bg as well! Brilliant touch!!

Also i hadn't noticed the shoes until DD mentioned it but he's right.

Overall i love it. Fav'ed in DA of course. I don't think theres a piece ya have on DA that i havn't fav'ed actually.

I am elated that you still do your magic and even more so that ya still share it with us on th boards.

Great job bro.

The odd thing is, I did less postwork on this piece than I usually do. In fact, I only spent about 3 minutes on Harley to clean up some stray polygons and shadows. All the postwork was on the Batman doll, and that didn't take more than an hour to detail.

I think, more than anything, it's just a more 'complete' piece than I usually do since there's more to it than just a pose. It's also raised my own personal bar.

Oh i agree. I didn't mean it like it was a bad thing either. I havn't found a piece from you that i havn't completely loved. Sometimes i do think a piece could use a bit more post work but like with this, i think ya just got it down now. Love it. The bullets are a great touch along with the toy gun lol.

As soon as I feel my DC portfolio is completed, I'll do some Marvels as well. I know I'll tackle the X-Men and probably some Avengers. In fact, I've already started dabbling with a 'Thing' model from the Fantastic Four. Marvel's characters seem to need a lot more custom work.

She still needs to brush up on her aim, just a bit.

Tell me you're doing a Doctor Fate and a Doctor Midnite -- Those would be totally awsome.

I look forward to your take on the Avengers--I've already faved your JLA and they are my two favorite teams.

Doug that is great!

Harley is my favorite DC character actually, how coincidental you'd do a 3-D of her, hmm maybe I'll order a print..

Doug... I would LOOOOOVE to see you "tackle" Gatchaman (or Battle of the Planets as it was called in North America).

I grew up with this cartoon. It had a unique quality/style to it.

BTW..Loving you creating the DC/Marvel universe. They will look good *cough cough* in a portfolio submitted to these two companies
