Payment modes?
Paypal is usually easier and faster, hence why it's preferred. I can't speak for others, but I'd have no problem taking cash orders, except with me being abroad would make things take a while more to solve (and there would always be the risk of the money getting lost in the mail).
I use Paypal. It's fast, safe, and fairly universal.
But at the moment, I'll also accept a 24" - 30" flat-panel, wide screen monitor. Got a spare and want art? Call me =)
PayPal's pretty damn convenient but for some reason my bank hates it. I'm in the process of changing banks but I've run into major problems before that they were not much help in resolving.

What's your number DJ?
I believe Daggerpoint uses Xoom, some other sort of Paypalish system, but there's always Western Union. I use to take money orders and such, but most clients have no problems with Paypal, and I give them ample time before I start.
I would definitely change banks if they're hassling you... they probably want to do a wire transfer and charge you for it.
John Becaro uses Xoom as well. A slight learning curve if you're used to PayPal, but as long as the person you're sending payment to provides all the information it's easy to do as well.

While I prefer Paypal, I have no aversion in being paid mansions and or yachts! Currency is currency, I'll even take Canadian money, seeing as I am being forced by Witness Relocation (the wife) to live there...
Heck, Canadian money is what I WISH I was paid in nowadays
From the other end of things, I prefer to send my money for purchases via money order or teller/cashiers check. I do have personal checks, but I'm rather weird and paranoid and don't want my personal information stolen. This is also why I don't use PayPal and still pay all my bills by snail mail. Money orders are trustworthy enough, as are teller or cashier checks, and then, as LJ mentioned, you can always go Western Union. Giving your customers some options other than strictly PayPal will help you snare that customer who despises or doesn't trust online transactions.
Just my personal stance on things.

I think snail mail is a lot less secure than online or even paypal. After all anyone can walk up and steal your mail and you may not even know til you get the late notice ! Just my stance though
I hate mailing things. sooo slow! Online is instant! and bam!
I was sort of wondering how people felt about modes of payment. Obviously relying on cash or even on personal checks isn't really advisable for this kind of deal, and I know everybody prefers PayPal generally. I was more wondering who among you out there was down with money orders or cashiers checks. Just curious.
