I would kill for some mini-games, puzzles and/or object interaction.

I somehow doubt the devs will pull of being that awesome. Then again it was Jack's fault we don't have that content already and he's gone.

The hurdle then if justifying the content with the current devs. Players can google for puzzle solutions, which nerfs puzzles in the devs eyes. Convince them to jump that hurdle and you shall have puzzle content.

I am an ebil markeeter and will steal your moneiz ...correction stole your moneiz. I support keeping the poor down because it is impossible to make moneiz in this game.

How is Champions online going to affect CoX development? Cryptic doesn't have anything to do with CoX updates and such. Before the Champions announcment they were working on the Marvel MMO.....what's the difference?

They have to be careful of any new ideas they make to one-up the competitor, or else the competitor is quite likely to just steal their ideas.

My friend, the state of the art is such, that is impossible to make a game that is not subject to exploits of one sort or another.

After taking the same sort of reasonable precautions that other games that include such content take, if such content is in fact on the table, the possibility of subscribers using Google to solve puzzles, should in no wise deter it's implementation.

I'm only laughing on the outside
My smile is just skin deep
If you could see inside, I'm really crying
You might join me for a weep

I had to check out the CO website to see what all the fuss is about. I think it is hillarious that they will have an underwater city and a moonbase! lolz!

Bunch of damn dress wearing sissy la-la's.

I find it hilarious how some are already complaining about not yet released announcements. Or complaining again about the things that have been complained about a thousand times already. I think it's probably safe to say they are aware of what we're unsatisfied with. Let them make their announcements. See if it addresses your concerns. If it doesn't, then complain. Why do it now? Or do you actually think you're accomplishing something?

I don't know about you all, but just the use of the word "Groovy" has me nervous. What is this the 60's?

I have my doubts how "Groovy" thing may be when Cryptic releases "Champions online" which is set for Spring of 2009.

"As follow-up to this announcement - I am VERY curious as to the thoughts regarding the drastic change in direction of the Cryptic Studios announcement to develop Champions online MMORPG?! Even the screen shots have artwork DIRECTLY from City of Heroes! It is absolutely appalling to me that they would publish artwork, that is a blatant rip-off of CoH? I forget which magazine the article was in, PC Gamer maybe? But I was horrified as I read through the description - it's like they're re-inventing the CoH IP all over again? "

Man I just learned that last night as I just happened to go to the Cryptic site to see what was going down since the cancellation of MUO. I think it really dangerous because they are directly competing with their old/ former product. And they deliver on some stuff that the players of this game really want like full customization of powers.

That being said the game play doesn't look that appealing to me. The combat annimations look to me like a Superhero version of "Guild Wars". It is faster, more twitchy, but characters seem to do only a few attacks over and over and over again.
