If anyone knows of good resources, guides, or materials that belong in this section please link them here and I will move them over.
Specifically looking for demo-record, sound, and other goodies.

There's a new website, WeGame.com for hosting in game videos. They have a free video recorder that you can download. It can do all the work for uploading the videos to their site, but the recorded videos are straightforward .avi files which I've been able to edit in ULead Videostudion.
The current version has some problems recording sound, but the develoeprs are working on it. You can see my videos here

Defnitely a great idea for a new section! 
Of course, crawling through the Screenshots area should provide some stuff... Nice to see it separated out though, because making movies and machinema is quite different from just taking screenies!
Ooh - perhaps move information about demoediting to its own sticky place here, that's one thing that would really help.
