Multiple Personality RP Character Idea:

Well, I once played with a similar notion, but not in the way that the character had multiple personalities, but rather she, being a sort of, "infiltration" specialist and a series of fake identities, she had a different costume for each identity.
Still what you which to accomplish might be a fun challenge, and you can probably complement it with the Invention Temporary powers...
I have two characters like that. One is a shapeshifter named Polly Morph. I really wanted her to have different powers for the different costumes, but oh well.
I've never heard of Crazy Jane, but it sounds interesting. GMTA.

My sweetie made a toon like that. It was actually 4 different people who got combined into one body. They could switch out at will who was in control and that's who'd they look like.
I have a DB/Will scrapper with three different looks so far. She's a goddess who can take on three to five different aspects. Based on mythology.
I've tried it once. The character hasn't been made yet though, but I planned to have 1 female character and 1 male character with each of their costume slots being a different personality (omitting the crippled genius personality). Conceptually the nanomachines allows a small amount of shapeshifting and when the personality shifts so does the way the character naturally perceives themselves. Only one of the personalities has control over the shapeshifting ability and all subconscious to everyone else. anyway that's my take on it.
I have a couple characters that have multiple aspects rolled into one. It allows me to get several alts rolled up into one. 
My main one that I've gotten farthest with is:
Mister Halloween
His primary persona is the first one to the left. He uses his mask making skills and occult knowledge to imbue his masks with the abilities and quirks of the creatures that they're based off of. I was able to get certain powers limited to costumes such as super jump with Frankenstein's Monster and the Werewolf. Superspeed and Fear powers with Dracula. Flight and stealth powers with the Ghost, etc. I also only play him during the month of October usually where he racks up the Halloween salvage. The screenshot is old, he has various auras now for most of the costumes.
One of my most recents is a lowbie that only has two costumes so far but his name is the Reincarnate and his concept is an Ouroboros agent that during the first time he used time travel he became aware of all of his past and future lives. His ability is that he can access these lives through the Ouroboros. It's a combination of metaphysics meets Quantum Physics. So far I'm using and planning on characters that come from cultures that have a belief in reincarnation of some sort. So I have an Egyptian character and a Viking and plan to have a Samurai and possibly Greek character. The main one will be a futuristic warrior, the one who first discovered and can call upon his many incarnations.
They have their own names, personality quirks and way of speaking.

My other one is Hecate, she has various costumes and personalities based on her many aspects as a goddess.
In all cases with Mister Halloween, the Reincarnate and Hecate I use different badges and costumes to help provide more flavor to them.
I really does help with my extreme altitis.

My empath's friend Jennifer White has "MPD" Well she's possessed by the spirit of Darkness...
Jennie has two "Sisters" Hope and Faith Foster..they are possessed by the Dead and Hellfire and want to reunite with The Darkness to take over the world.
Their stories are pretty awesome. I LOVED doing the in character interviews on all three.
I think Jennie's intervew is the second or third one I did, and then later there was Hope and Faith...

I generally don't worry too much about whether my character's different costumes look like the same person in a different costume or not. I'll change hair color, skin color, sometimes fiddle with the body sliders a bit, or give a cat character a human look or a robot look.
But I have at least one character where I deliberately made a change as radical as I could. I have an ice blaster whose normal look is that of a rather chunky black woman, but I gave her a different costume in which she is thin, underdeveloped, and white-skinned -- more like a young white girl.
I don't have any story explanation for why she can look so different. It's not a character that I play often, and I did it just to see how different I could make her look. Just to amuse myself.
I have another character that I've done something similar too -- one costume is sexy and revealing, but another is not only a robotic look, but designed to look as masculine or at least gender-neutral as possible.
This got me to thinking. Anyone remember Crazy Jane from Grant Morrisson's run on Doom Patrol? Each of her multiple personalities had a different power and a completely different look. Some were male. Some weren't human.
What if you played a character like that? Each costume would be a completely different personality, as different a look as possible, maybe with certain trademark powers that none of the others used (if you wanted to take the RP aspect that far).
This would work best with a veteran account with access to some of the veteran powers, maybe several temp powers too, and maybe with a kheld to grant you a couple of extra shapes (a way to RP a non-alien kheld, I suppose).
Now, I know I'm probably not the first to think of this, so I was wondering if anyone else has tried this before?
