I am looking for a base design for a fully functional base. I can build it but need some help with the design or I can invite you and give you edit permissions. Its a Base for my own toons, not a huge SG. I am going to populate it with me and my alts. I have around 1 million in Prestige as I play the market and converted Inf to Prestige (no pointing and laughing, I have more Inf then I need to continue playing the market)
I want all the goodies in it, plenty of storage and Teleporters to most or all zones. This is on Guardian, and we can do blue side or red side. My toons blueside have the badges for all the zones, but i can get them redside soon enough.
Thanks for any help, ideas, links to pics of personel bases, or whatever else you can help with.
Hey Unitron. My home is on Guardian. You're welcome to hit me up on Hero side or Villain side and have a tour of my bases. If there's anything that you like, feel free to use it in your base. And if you'd like, I can plunk down an empty room in my Hero base and go over some of the tricks used in post-i13 base construction to help you with learning them. Global is in my sig ^_^

Our base is pretty sizable, but only set up for decoration. We aren't into raids. You can check out picks of the base here.
Freedom server, I'm pretty new but have quite a small, single-person base going. Lately, my regular play toon is Perky Plant Pixie, but if I'm editing it's either (The) Waitress, or Battle Pixie.
Got a lovely welcome room, a general base meeting room/combo/forge room, a resurrection alter, a fantastic tp room with longbow flier platform and spiral staircase, and energy and control rooms with interesting experiments in construction going on.
I think it's Freedom, lol. It's the unofficial PvP server, the one that turns yellow from green first.
6:30 pm EST, should be on by 7:30.

Im the architect for a large (28 mil + prestige) sg base on Protector and mentoring base builders for ages. I play regularly and am very happy to help anyone who needs it. I can be found most evenings and extended periods during the weekends.
Anyone who needs help is encouraged to join our global channel "The Black Scorpions" and look for Dr-Apocalypse. Since the channel goes across the servers you'll have someone you can ask questions of as they come up. Or if you need ideas, we can set up a time to give you a tour of our complex and some of our coalitions who have interesting base ideas.
I can also invite to a sg on test server where you can work on your base building ideas with a 36 mil+ prestige base if you want a place to play around without tinkering with an existing base.
I'm the base editor of several personal bases, the highest prestige amount is 10 mil. Pics of that base (still under construction) can be seen here. I'm willing to edit/advise/or teach for anyone. I mainly play on Virtue server, but don't have a problem hopping around if necessary. Global is @Uron.
Hi, I could use some help mastering the base design interface, as I have recently inherited a SG+base (Team of Justice). But a question first: Is inheriting a SG (+base) rare, uncommon, or does it actually happen fairly frequently?

I suggest joining the BaseBuildersInc. channel, if you're interested in doing it yourself and just getting the occasional bits of help. That way, whenever you're specifically in need, you can immediately ask.

I inherited my SG's by a friend actually promoting me to the super leader rank, and then leaving the game. I have seen others inherit them from loggin in to a dead SG and being promoted by default as well. I wouldn't say its common, but its not rare either.
Anyhow, good luck with your SG. Enjoy building your base!

Here's another question. I'm the SG Leader, and have all permissions, yet the Promote and Demote buttons for my SG are greyed out. Any ideas why I can't do either (yet can still kick)?
And what would everybody recommend for a limit on inactive time before being demoted/kicked?
(I know those two aren't directly related to building a Base.
)

Unless you need the space to add members (i.e., you have hit the cap of 150) - why kick inactive? They aren't helping/harming anything and have functionally no effect as members of the group (caveat: unless they are part of the 15 members you need to keep the 300K starting funds). Leave them there, but turn off access to storage bins and demote to the lowest level.
That way, if they *do* come back, they aren't left out in the cold. They can always ask for permission to access salvage, which you as SL can grant or not.
Note that I do recommend demoting them to help protect your stuff, just don't kick them unless you need the space on your roster.
For one of the 2 SGs I have inherited, I have members who haven't been on for over 700 days, BTW.

We've been asking for an offline promote/demote function for ages.
If I've not been notified of a player taking a leave of absence, I will often leave inactive toons on the roster for up to a year. For the SG that I've "inherited", we keep the founder's main toons in, but have cleared the others. For us it's about keeping the clutter down. We don't recruit a lot, but when we do, we want the active toons to be more prominent.

I have inherited about 8 bases, playing on all the US servers. I have turned one into a great active SG on Virtue and I am still running the others, filled with my alts and a few surviving members. I keep paying the maintenance and playing my toons there, but I don't want to spend the time designing the base, there is just no fun in it for me. Thus the bases look like crap.
So now I am looking for people who are interested in base constructions. I can give you fairly free reign.
The SGs that needs this the most urgent are:
Active SG on Virtue, around 100+ active members, daily play, about 11 mill prestige
SG on Freedom, about 8 active members with loads of alts, about 7 mill prestige
SG on Protector, about 3 active members with loads of alts, about 18 mill prestige
You can send me a message here if you want to be the base builder and build the base of your dreams. Of course a leadership role is involved as well so if you want to do it on Virtue I would be happy if you had leadership ambitions as well. :-)
