Indeed it is, this is the "TPVPL", was supposed to be for fun, we got greedy and wanted more points so we decided to play our "matches" no big deal. We forfeited the first match by default, the second one we got lab map(couldn't do much evasion there), and finally on the 3rd we got lucky and got the seige.. So gg and thanks for the fun guys

Seriously tho, we knew we had no chance, we were pissed you wouldnt reschedule. Knowing Ajax he would have done the same thing if he was short and the opposing team refused to reschedule. We are all very competitive people and we didn't want to forfeit.
I agree that the TPvPL has sucked [censored]. People havent shown up for the most part and other more important things have conflicted (official matches). I dont think you can fix this, its just part of the game. As Ajax said he has 10 different schedules all are part of PvP SG's and he couldnt reschedule, we are all busy people and have a RL outside of CoX.
Anyways GG Team Ajax, we did have fun, hope you guys did also.

I wasn't filled in on the details (lack of perception, map) until now, but I didn't say anything about the tactics they used. All I said is that given what I knew at the time, tying in a 5 vs 2 after getting beaten in other matches, seemed pretty difficult to do.

You have to crawl before you can walk..
FYI infinity is a totally different beast. You had to invest some time and or money to get there if you were not already on infinity and consisted of mostly dedicated test PVPer's with a different goal.
My goal was to introduce new people to test pvp and yeah that meant taking a risk that a lot of the new sign ups would lose interest or not show. Over all I think we won at that. Some new folks have joined test SG's, at least one new SG plans to join the ladder and people are giving other people build advice, ios, strategies.
I know a lot of people hated the fillers but I had to keep teams together before the league even started. People have left the game and come back, top draft picks have showed for one match and never come back - and a lot of other drama that has gone done across a lot of teams.
bottom line is - it's supposed to be fun. If you can't show up with that in mind. Don't show (and this is directed at all teams not any one team...).
Sorry it's not up to everyone's expectations but IMHO we done pretty well with the goals in mind and the hands we were dealt. I plan on doing a season 2- and yeah it will be different and should fix a lot of the issues we had (including hopefully no need for fillers).

Jimmay...you've done great, and have put a lot of time, and energy putting this together, and for that we all have to thank you. Its not your fault that people are irresponsible and don't keep up with their commitments.
I'm sure a second season would be better, since we would have most of the kinks worked out, plus captains will probably have a better idea of peeps that are unreliable when draft time comes up again.

Yea I was actually there last night, but for some reason I can no longer load test server. Everytime I clicked training room my game would crash. Give mad props to Kiri and Chaos for fighting those matches anyway. I'm pissed at another loop hole in the league though. We knew we weren't going to be able to fill a team and I contacted Ajax a week ago asking for a reschedule. Guess he'd rather take the easy win then actually pvp, guess the meaning of this league has been lost.

woah...I did get your email, but rescheduling is out of the question for a team in which almost every player is a member of an organized test server PvP group with totally different practice nights and times.
Face it...the date that was agreed for TPvPL was Tuesday at 10pm eastern. If YOU signed up for that, you are responsible for your attendance. Don't be putting the blame on others for YOUR inability to attend the regular time.
I do rather play the matches and not win by forfeit, but it is up to your team to show up for it at the regular time.

Well stated earlier Jimmay. And of course, apologies if I've fueled any drama. This thread's been our team's means of contact, and the fact that it's public has led to more drama than anyone would have liked.
That said, I'm not responsible for any bruised egos as a result of hearing stuff either directly or through the grapevine. That's what competition's about. I've heard at several different points of time that I can be pretty easy to kill if I get lazy on phasing during practices, scrimmages, etc. I've also had people imply that I'm not a great blaster, which I'd agree with considering I don't blast too often. The point is that it's best for everyone involved not to take offense and start personal drama, but instead to work on your own weaknesses. That's my two cents, at least... everyone's free to do what they think will improve their playstyle.
