The Periodic Costume Contest - Back... In Black?

Yep. It's back. After a miserable failure of the costume contest a few weeks back, I've decided I'm taking a new lease on the life of these contests. Now, instead of weekly, these contests are... Periodic. Any time of the day, and day of the week, any century of the millennium, ETC.

The rules, People enter in their costumes, which all are created under certain guidelines. Those which don't follow the guidelines will be ignored and exempt from the contest voting. After the submission of costumes closes, voting begins. Each poster is able to make Three Votes, as opposed to the classic one I offered when this costume contest business first began.

And now, the Guidelines:

Create a costume for a hero which has any of the following theme songs:

Song 1
Song 2
Song 3
Song 4
Song 5
Make sure you label which song you chose for the costume.

That's all. Other than that, go wild. Go. Go. Yeah. Make them costumes.

Hmmm, Song 2 sounds a bit close to a kind of epic theme I'd imagine for Shadow-Rush (see sig for a screenshot), although probably a little bit less piratey-sounding and a bit more fast-paced. But I am always a sucker for Soul Calibur music or epic orchestra music for that matter.

Taking a more minimalist approach, mostly because I already had this picture and thought of it when I heard Song 4, here's one of my main's costumes: Midnight Flux

I've never yet taken a hit from a bad guy skidding across the floor on his keister.

well.. i saw that you needed more for 3 & 5, so i went ahead and made one for Song 3. granted, my original vision that went with the song was a gothic-type character with flowing robes and a brooding presence.. but since we don't have flowing robes, i went in a different direction.

so, submitted for your perusal:

Hmmm, now I'm a little confused with the voting rules. I wasn't aware that contestants were allowed to vote? Also, can we vote for ourselves? (Because of course, I'll put a vote for mine )

Heh, if all the answers are yes then here's mine:

Mindy Moonhopper (Just love how the costume seems to fit the music. I can actually see her in a side-scrolling action platform classic arcade game with this music, jumping and shooting.)

Kablooie Kate (Aside from the music fitting in with the costume, I like how the costume is designed as well. The earthly tones and colors match each other, and the pieces chosen fit well.)

Shadow-Rush (Obligatory vote for myself. If I didn't think mine would go well with the music I wouldn't have entered it. )
