IO slotting example: Health

1) Is permanent when in an auto power (well, you lose the buff if you exemplar below the level you took the power, but is perma other than that)
2) If slotted in a toggle power, lasts as long as the toggle is on, and approx. 120 seconds afterwards
3) Lasts 120 seconds after a click power it is slotted in is used.


As for why, auto and toggle powers actually give a very short-duration benefit, that is reactivated at intervals shorter than the duration. Health, for example, gives you a +Regen buff for 10.25 seconds, every 10 seconds. Since Health reactivates itself every 10 seconds, the 120 timer is restarted, effectively making it permanent.

Thanks for the explanation. I had another question reguarding IOs also. Somone told me that you can only have up to 5 of the same set bonus and after that they because useless. So for example if you have 5 regen IO set bonuses and then you add another set with regen bonus that last one wont do anything. Is there any truth to that? If so does that count unique IO bonuses?

People mean the actual percentage should not be dublicated more than 5 times because any after that will not count.

In the below link you could have five 12%, five 10% etc. The name of the set offering +regen doesn't matter. Look at the percentages they give and keep that at five or under when you make a build.

So you could have five 12% regen IO and five 10% regen IO and get a total of 110% regen bonus? I have been operating under the assumption that you can only have five of any category, not five of each percentile category. Am i wrong?

I am happy to report you were wrong. You can have 5 of any given percentage in any one category, not just 5 of any one category (such as Regen bonuses).

1 Regenerative Tissue +25% regeneration global IO,
1 Numina's Convalescence +20% regen, +10% recovery global IO,
1 Numina's Convalescence heal IO,
1 Numina's Convalescence heal/rch OR end/heal IO

heal: +95.5%
Set bonuses:
regeneration: +12%
recovery: +2.5%
max health: +1.88%
